Don't want you to think no one is paying attention. I've tried running my Nautilus BVC through cleaners with little to no success. I just find it easier, though not cost effective to replace them. I can't help with the kanger. As for preservatives, my understanding is that VG is stable unto itself, with no preservatives added. I think of it like a corn oil, never goes bad in your cabinet.:2c:

Welcome,

1) Yes. I have BVC and Subtank coils. They can both be cleaned in the UC. I find the UC more effective at removing previous liquid taste than built up gunk. The cotton in the Subtank coils is as white or almost as white on the 6 coils I have cleaned in the UC as when they were new. I have also simmered, close to boiled, the BVC coils, Have not tried it with the Subtank coils. There seems to be no limit to the number of times the BVC coils can be cleaned, but I get rid of them after the 2nd or 3rd cleaning. I think the cotton in the Subtank coils will begin to disintegrate in time. This may become an issue with the new cotton BVC coils that are becoming available.

2) Propylene Glycol (PG) has antibacterial and antifungal properties. It has been used in the ventilation systems and oxygen lines in hospitals. Vegetable Glycerine (VG) is also antibacterial. Google "Vegetable Glycerine anitbacterial" for more detailed info.

ETA: Some people blow the water out of the BVC coils and use them right away. I let mine air dry for a few days. It is a matter of whatever works best for you.

Happy Vaping!

1) You'll see lots of debate on the issue, some people clean their coils (running them under water) some replace....I've tried both and IMHO you can't get the flavor back to 100% like you can with a new coil. I don't know if I'd stick an aspire coil into an ultrasonic cleaner...the kanger being all cotton might be ok.

2) Keep it cool and keep it away from light. This is give you the longest shelf life, but it will still degenerate over time. Some prefer to keep em in the fridge.

Brie I wouldn't bother with cleaning the nautilus bvc coils. If the price is too high to keep replacing them then check out fast tech website and buy some authentic ones from there.
Although you have to wait a while now as they've stopped shipping for Chinese New year.

The kanger subtank coils same deal but those look to be rather easy to rebuild the stock coils.
