I'm liking the kanger protank 2 right now, coil/wick looks like what my tank used that I started with and liked. BUT yesterday I had some people on here telling me that the 'exposed' wick types do not work well at all. (loved mine, no problems the first 4 or 5 weeks at all til i changed it hahahaa which is a different story but anyhow.

Most recommend the Nautilus and Aerotanks because they provide great vapor and flavor along with giving user options like variable airflow. The right choice for you is as usual totally subjective. I feel like those options are worthwhile for the price and upkeep, and as long as you have two batteries (which imo, you really should - always have a backup, if just to keep the stinky cigs at bay in a pinch) then you can be charging one and using the other. That makes the "draining battery" issues sort of not a problem.

Coils and juice costs are always going to be there. It's difficult to minimize these costs without rebuilding and do-it-yourself juice. I think a better vape experience is worth a slightly higher upkeep, but if that isn't an option for you, I totally understand.

I have a full size Nauti that I use when I'm vaping at home on my Vamo or if I'm hanging out at the bar with my friends. However for everyday work use I buy these True CE5+ ego Clearomizer SS Mesh from Ikenvapes. They're 2.25 a pop and they work so good! I have about 5 of them each filled with different flavors so I can just grab a couple and go.

I should mention I use them on a VV eGo threaded battery.

Are those disposable or do you buy replacement pieces for it?

I feel your pain. I have a protank2, protank3, protank3 mini, and an aerotank. Its nice to have the backup tanks. I just cant do the cheap disposables. Today i picked up the aerotank mega. It smokes pretty good but the package showed a 1.8ohm but my Evic reads 2.5. Strange but i picked up a 5 pack of 1.5 ohm dc. Cant wait to get home and blast these babies!! Pickup something nice cause no sense in not always having something sweet to smoke on. Just my 2 cents!!

of course you are going to have coil and juice cost. But if a system due to dual coils, really doubles your cost of juice that is a big deal to someone like me, who just lost 300 a month of their income. I'm not vaping as a 'hobby'. I also never mentioned being 'cheap' since I'm looking for a good tank. I just said I can't afford to buy TWO good tanks at $30 or $35 a piece plus a new battery at $35 or $40. If I had over a hundred bucks to drop tonight all at once I'd just go back to spending the hundred a month on cigarettes, it was easier that's for sure. and I didn't have to ask questions lol
It's cost me about $30 a month for juice and coil/wick replacement at the most since I switched to a vapor. I've watched a close friend spend the same amount a month for several months, she switched to a dual coil and her monthly cost doubled. I can't have that happen. I wasn't aware that vaping was only for people that had a lot of money to spend as a hobby. I've seen plenty of 'poor' people like myself switch from analogues to vapors and save a fortune. (a fortune to someone like me)

Thankyou to those that has been welcoming and helpful but as usual I've found that a forum isn't the place for me. I just end up having a few people say something that makes me feel like a 5 year old being sent to the corner lol
While I was looking for a good tank system, like my original post said, I just wondered if i should...for my second tank (that wouldn't be used as much) if it would make more sense to just use some sort of disposables or a 'cheaper' (yep i said it:) tank. If a $10 tank for my 2nd tank is gna only last a month (which I don't know that, which is why i asked) then seems it would make more sense to use disposables....BUT maybe a ten or twelve dollar tank lasts a while, problem is only thing that ended up being talked about was good tanks which i had almost decided. (was trying to decide btwn 3 by tonight) but didn't want to order it without ordering either a 2nd tank or a few disposables. 9p.m i've accomplished nothing ......................*sigh again (i'm not usually one to sigh but really feeling like having my son run up to the store and get me a pack of cigs right now, the only time I crave an actual cigarette is when one of my kids really get me frustrated....

A lot of us go into rebuildables not only for the hobby part of it, but because it is cheaper to do so. I have one kayfun lite clone I spent $15 for. I bought a bag of organic cotton for $5, and a 100' roll of Kanthal for $7. That was over six months ago and I haven't even used %25 of it. A good rebuildable tank is cheaper than a disposable in the long run.

It does take some fiddling with to begin with.. but once you have the knowlege, you'd be surprised at how easy it is. A coil lasts me over 2 weeks. a pinch off of an organic cotton ball llasts me about a week. for the most part, I have a "fill and go" setup. To rewick it, it takes me 2-3 minutes when the tank is empty.. and that's just every 2 weeks or so. A coil takes about 5-10 minutes to re-do, and thhat lasts me over 2 months. I did get a second kayfun, and yes, it has the "other flavor" I use.

Now, if you don't want something like that, you could look into getting a glass tank with replaceable coils. If you're on a budget, then I'd suggest going mail order. with the prices of some of the mail orders, there's almost no reason to buy disposables. Here's an example of one that is dual coil for only $8. replacement coils are $8 for five. These are just some examples, you can find many like that. Disposables, IMO, are a waste of money. When I started, I was using the stardusts, etc.. and by the end of the month, I had a few of them laying around for parts.. and still putting money into buying new ones. At least these, you can change the coils for like $1.33 each.

Just my :2c: worth.

Get a cuople of Kanger tanks--I really like my Aerotanks. The T3S and eVods are nice too. The coils are inexpensive, can be cleaned and dry burned several times before you need to chuck them and they also can be rebuilt--if you're on a budget, you can't beat that. You can make your own replacement coils for pennies.

Aspire BVC coils are expensive, hard to clean, almost impossible to rebuild and they contain fiberglass as a wicking material.

well, I never knew anyone to have problems with kanger tanks myself, but all i've had on here were people insisting they were bad, But with all the pushing I ended up getting the nautilus mini and already wish i hadn't. I don't see it being this 'great' thing like everyone said. With the max air hole it's not this huge hit like i've been told for one thing. secondly, it's not any better ($30 later) than the tank that came in my excel pro kit. And excel is just it's own brand and but the tank to it was a bottom single coil similar to using a kanger it looks like if you ask me. Except the tank doesn't come apart at all. Anyhow, Point is, that the nautilus doesn't vape any more special then all of the tanks i've tried from friends and family and like i wrote previously, didn't want the cost of the expensive coil replacement but too late now, I paid went ahead and went to the vapor shop on my side of town and paid the 30 bucks for it cuz thats the cost of it online anyhow plus shipping and the wait to get it when I couldn't stand another day using a disposable (i got the mini myself, i couldn't imagine having a giant tank the size of the reg. nautilus)

For my 2nd tank (because I have to have two tanks no matter what, menthol tobacco in the nautilus and a flavor with a lower nicotine level in a 2nd tank to vape on in between all day and night...I def. wont be even spending 20 bucks.

BTW I'd like to know why i've read so much on the forum about people cracking tanks. I've never known anyone (friends, family, friends of friends etc) to crack a tank no matter what style, type, brand etc.

Since you got your Nautilus from a local store, maybe you can return it and get something more suited to what you want? That all depends on the store return policies but it's worth a shot if you aren't happy.

I didn't mean i hate it....I should NOT have said I wish I didn't get it,,,,,am I saying I think its great now suddenly? naw, I just meant I don't think it's the tank to put a crown on and bow down to lol.
Airflow control was ok last night when I had it on the biggest (needed that) I guess and turned it to the smallest when I got up this morning like the guy suggested, he was right. But there are other airflow control tanks and I don't think it would be necessary if I had a few tanks I liked. I was assuming the nauti lovers meant more than the airflow but also the coil/wick system??

SO CORRECTION- am I happy I bought it not really but do I wish I hadn't? naw not really cuz now i know I don't want two of them lol teehehehehee

BTW I've made comments in the past about how awful the vapor store near me is and this was NOT that store. The place I went to was great.

Katya, I didn't 'doubt' that happens with as many times as I've seen people talk about 'cracked tanks' online and forum lol (not laughing that you did btw:)

I just now am curious and want to know HOW people crack a tank.

AND those that suggest a nautilus on this thread and another I started out with.....is it the actual vapor it produces they love? What I'm thinking....and being a newbie and only vaping around 3 months and only owned a few tanks and a few disposables the last week out of I HAD TO lol.....I'm thinking that the reason I last night said I wished I hadn't bought it is the way it actually produces its vapor. It seems too dry to me. I'm only guessing since I don't know enough yet and I'm basing this on what I've used and how it feels to me. It's not the juice I'm sure because I'm using the same juice as I did in my other tank and the disposable.

Still trying to decide what to order today for a 2nd tank and even thinking about getting an evod as a 3rd for now. I was afraid to make that statement for fear of being scolded about an evod but my other daughter loves hers and seemed like for the cost it would make a good extra. Just didn't know which evod.

oh for crying out loud, my brain should be wrapped up in homeschooling not full of tanks and batteries lol I decided i was going to order a mini protank 2 and realized it is only ego threaded and I've already ordered an innokin itaste V3 which is only 510 thread. Or can I get any tank i choose and use an adapter? I'm getting serious headaches from reading nonstop. :(
