1. When you will receive your SSGGTS unscrew all the big parts and put vaseline to the threads. This will lead to a smooth screwing-unscrewing and it will not let threads to get stuck

2. Steel is not like aluminium, so if threads get stuck its very difficult to unstuck them, almost impossible. So please see 1. above

3. Dont overtight GGTS parts and especially the big tubes. Steel doesnt allow mistakes, so see 1. again

Please oh Please read this and head what Imeo has said.

What Imeo is referring to is called Galling, which is caused by two similar metals rubbing together, causing friction and thus material buildup. This WILL cause two pieces to cease together (Permanently). Just like when using Stainless Bolts in a Stainless item, some form of anti-cease compound must be used, And in this case, that compound would be Vaseline.

If you would like more information on Galling, please look here Galling - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

noalox (no-aluminum-oxide) isn't conductive, it's purpose is to help maintain conductivity, not close a circuit or induce electricity. it benefits mechanical aluminum mods because it has suspended zinc particles that are supposed to cut through aluminum oxide. even this is doubtful since zinc is relatively soft and aluminum oxide is only second to diamonds in terms of hardness. but more importantly, zinc generally works as a sacrificial anode to protect the underlying aluminum from corrosion. regardless, stainless steel (inox) isn't aluminum, vaseline is perfectly fine for our uses, and if you want to buy something other than vaseline, consider grabbing a silicone or other synthetic food grade lubricant that can also be used for the entire set up, including ufs.

I'd like to add my 2cents here. Prior to my getting a GGTS, I had a ss P18, used noalox on the threads and connections. It is very smooth, but needs more added from time to time(more so than the vaseline), sticks in the threads, harder to get out, has to be used more often IMO. Started using the vaseline after getting the GGTS since Imeo recommended it. Now I use the vaseline on the threads of both of them. Screwing and unscrewing stays smoother longer. Still use the noalox on the connections though.

Vaseline all over them threads/o-rings is what I was told by Imeo.. so I do it. After admiring the whole ggts + ufs after I'm done cleaning and putting vaseline on.. I still have vaseline on my hands.. I'll let the story end here. lol

Dangerous combo, GG excitement and vaseline -- would your woman understand?!?!?!? ROFLMAO!!!:lol::lol:

I do use noalox on my Al GGTSs only, and only where there is no juice contact fwiw.....:thumb:
