okay so i am going to be buying my first mech mod today and everything else that i will need for it. my question is what is the main differances of a 2 and 3 post rda and which one is better, which one is easey to learn how to build coils on and which one will allow for more vapor production. im getting into mech mods mainly bc i want to be able to blow clouds and i want more taste out of my juice. its deffinaitly going to be a learn as i go process but i have done ALOT of online research and posting to inform myself enough to where i feel comfortable buying a mech w.o. killing myself lol

I'm not an RDA master by any means but I have a few and enjoy them very much. I would recommend a 3 post RDA which makes life easier when building for dual coils. In addition You may want to consider an RDA that provides the ability to run either dual hole or single hole in the event you want to only run one coil.

Or... one bigass hole, to feed singles or duals. ;-)

Read on.

There are a few unique designs, which are 3 post, but don't have the negative aspects associated with a 3 post used with a single coil, or a 2 post when attempting to fit duals. The one that comes immediately to mind, that has had sufficient popularity that there are several clones of it... is the "Faceless" Veritas.

There are so many features to the Veritas, one that is completely unique and useful, that it's easier to point you towards a review of the original than to write it all down myself.
Although filled with the usual subjectivity, this is a good review, as it begins with the first original Veritas deliveries, through the assorted, first build opinions, and on to the current impressions after long term use. Again... there are clones in just about any metal finish you might desire.

The only negative, that might impact you as a new dripper builder, would be that the Veritas is really designed as a vertical coil RDA... and some folks seem to have a hard time with verticals. You can build it with horizontal coil(s)... but the tails can end up slightly long when the coil(s) is positioned correctly in front of the air port.

From a personal perspective, having own(ed) over 40 drippers - originals and clones... along with the Origen and Magma, the Veritas is one of my favorites, and the only dripper I trust to not leak when out and about. YMMV

Sorry for bei g sooo new to this aspect of vaping but I am eager to learn. What do you mean by dual hole or single hole. I dont get what that means. Will I not be able to biuld a single coil on a regular 3 post? I figured to start my first builds would be single coils assuming that its easier to build a single coil, is this true or are dual coils just as easey?

hmmm you should read a bit more on topperz and their configurations and understand them a bit more before jumping into the world of cloudz....

clouding isnt just buying a good topper and throwing a .15 ohm coil into it and puffin on it....
there are about 7 different variables to the clouding equation... get one wrong and the cloudz are wimpy....

As long as you're obtaining the proper education... where it comes from is irrelevant. Have fun!

Please be safe. I always use three post RDA's but the Magma has two posts and people love it. Some even go as far as saying it is the best RDA for flavor out there.

Do you use micro-coils, or the designers build on the veritas? Do you know the best clone? I should've gotten one..oh well..I got another messy tobh to ruin my ipv2..:)
I have two, 22mm Veritas, suspect. The one clone I have, I got from FT.
One is running a pair of 27 gauge vertical coils, 10 wrap, 2.0mm mandrel for 0.6Ω... the other has a pair of 26 gauge verticals, 10 wrap on a 3mm mandrel, for 0.7Ω.
The 2mm has the coils slightly below the air inlet, the 3mm slightly above. Both are currently wicked with ramie... although I've switched around between cotton and rayon as well.

Dual coils are easier on a three post RDA, but you still have to tie both leads to a single screw on the common connection. Rip Trippers does a pretty nice dual coil on a Kayfun and his YouTube videos are great for learning how to coil just about any RBA/RDA out there.

I usually stick to a single coil on my Kayfun 3.1
