I recently purchased a myTri by myVapors. In the ad, and in other ads it says that it can run on 2 cells for up to 200w, or 3 cells for 300w. It also states it can be used for reverse charging, but the only port I see is a micro USB.

Does anyone out there have any knowledge on this mod? It actually came as a kit with a Kage Atomizer.

I checked You Tube and they only had one review, and that didn't help. Does anyone know if you can use only 2 batteries in this mod, if so which slots do they go in? I have tried them all I think. I'm trying to find out if this was an ad overselling a product, or if I got a defective kit. Also any info on the reverse charging would be appreciated.

I don't know anything about the mod, but there are no 18650s that can safely support 100 watts each. There are cells that could do it, but the runtimes will be atrociously short as will the lifespan of the cells. A quick google shows these being sold as a kit with a tank for around $16. Personally I would be suspicious of something that cheap. Did it not come with an instruction manual?
Just a suggestion, researching the mod before you purchased it might have been a better way to do things.

Judging by the graphic painted inside the battery door in this picture from vapesourcing.com, it shows a 3-pronged design with solid lines that point to slots 1 and 2, and a dotted line to slot 3. It would be my guess, then, that slot 3 is "optional" while 1 and 2 are required.

I've got to agree with what Sonic said. The board "may" or may not support the advertised wattage. However there are no current single 18650 batteries that can provide the amperage to support that wattage. (Don't believe the specs or claims the battery rewrapper brands use. The best performing batteries come from LG, Samsung, and Sony.)

-If you use a good quality 15 amp CDR battery like the Samsung 30Q or Sony VTC6, then you are good up to 45 watts per battery; 90 watts using two; 135 watts for three batteries.

-If you use a good quality 20 amp CDR battery like the LG HG2 or Samsung 25R then you are good for 60 watts per battery. If using a 2-battery regulated mod, you're good for 120 watts as you have two batteries. If you are using a 3-battery mod, you're good for 180.

-If you use a single 25 amp CDR battery like the Sony VTC5A, then you are good for 75 watts per battery, 150 watts for two batteries, and 225 watts with three.

-If you use a single 30 amp CDR battery like the LG HB6 you are good up to 90 watts; with a pair of 30 amp CDR batteries you could safely do 180 watts.

I have zero knowledge of this device. However, doing a google search I found this...
MyVapors myTri Kit with KAGE Atomizer 300W
It works as a power bank. So the reverse charging would probably be done by plugging your cord into it about 2 inches below the fire button. Wish I had more to offer. Hope you can get it working but if not, I’d definitely return it!

A power bank like the Innokin MVP. It can be used to recharge an I-Phone, I-Pod, IPad, etc.

"Vape your way with 100Watts of Real vaping output and Power Up with a 4500 mAh battery that vapes for days that can CHARGE your mobile phone and favorite electronics!" MVP4

Why was this posted in the General E-liquid Discussion?

It says an adapter is required for the power bank/"reverse charging" function. Probably one of those 510-to-USB doodads I've seen around. Then you put it in power bank mode and it provides a constant output without pressing the fire button, I believe.

Likely accidental. I've reported it to have it moved.

I would be really scared to vape something at 200 or 300 watts if it genuinely costs $16.

IDK, I don't know too much about the mod, but no you aren't going to reach that resistance for any lengthy period of time with two batteries.

Was there a specific reason it called out to you? I'd assume you'd plug in whatever to the USB port, although if it's a micro usb port IDK how much use it's going to be unless you can get a cord that is micro on one end and regular USB on the other.

I guess it's possible it's on DEEP CLEARANCE or whatever if it didn't sell well, but please be careful with it until you find out how reliable it is. DEEP CLEARANCE is also sometimes NOT the greatest sign, although things do end up there that can be great, alternately. It sounds like whatever it is/does, it didn't gain much of a following and etc.

Best of luck,

Anna

Man I put a 0.3Ω build in my Voltrove and popped it on my HOG V3 once, worked out to around 225W, insane. How in the hell anyone could vape at this level is completely beyond me, it's hot magma. No flavor, just scorching steam, but hey to each their own.

I have a wismec gen 3-300 watt and according to Rip Trippers it will actually do 300 watts. It has 3 Samsung 25 R's which I believe should carry it to 240 Watts? Giver take safely. So I guess that doesn't answer your question as I've only used it as high as 200 as a novelty. Too much for me. I Vape it at 80 mostly up to 150 if I feel froggy. Sorry not much information there. But I've seen you post and you know the rules. I know it's a regulated mod but be safe anyways. Love to everybody. May the force be with you

And this is coming from someone who likes it hot and juicy and does not mind a snap crackle or pop

What is APV? I didn't realize I posted General E-Liquid, though.
Moved to APV Discussion / Temperature Control from General E-Liquid Discussion.

Edwin - please have a care where you are posting your threads...I've moved a lot of them.

Advanced Personal Vaporizer.

Long before folks started calling them mods they were APV's, Mod used to be a device modified to work a certain way or modified out of pieces & parts to build a homemade power device.
Such as an Altiods tin, radio shack plastic box, metal tubes, any enclosure that would house a battery & have room for a button or switch & a 510 connector.

Mod's came from Modified Flashlights which is what was first used.

Better question who would want to vape at 200-300W? How about just get this set up going.

Never intended to go anywhere near 300w. I got a killer deal on the kit, but I was under the impression that it could be used with a 2 battery configuration like my Wismec Exoskeleton. Looks like all deals aren't good deals. I don't run 3 battery mods. Batteries aren't cheap and I only have so many charger bays.

Actually quality batteries aren't that expensive, $4-$6 each for high performing Sony, Samsung and LG shouldn't break the bank.
