Pilot, I hear you. When I first saw the templar, it was drool city. I HAD to have one. Searched and searched I did, with no luck. Missed the pre-order recently, was SO ...... about that.
Then, a stroke of luck. Can't believe I actually found it, but I did. It arrived just the other day.
Its the coolest packaging ever. Silk lined box, has the templar cross on the front.. wonderful presentation. Holding it in your hand, its magical. The machining is well done, the threading is EXQUISITE, the button feels nice, the locking ring is butter smooth.. It follow the theme of buying a high end mech.. When you get it in your hands, it IS exactly what you hoped. I have yet to be underwhelmed when opening a new mech, the 5 previous mechs I bought before the templar were/are all impressive. But, the packagaing, the hunt for one.. everything came together into an impressive unboxing experience for me.
I haven't used it yet though. Oh sure, I fit every rda I have onto it, put in batteries and adjusted for rattle.. But, havent fired it yet. I actually didn't know it was 23mm, I figured it was 22mm. I recently purchased a really sexy rda, which I intended to use on the Templar, and have been using on my Nemesis up till now. But, 22 to 23.. its not bad, because the top cap has a slight bevel to 22mm, but, I think I need to find another RDA just for the templar. Even if not a 23mm, because, that RDA I had in mind, looks so sexy on the Nemesis haha.
by the way, the RDA I speak of, is the Stillaire, by Cartel Mods. Right now, my favorite RDA along with the Crown. You can see pictures and place a preorder for the second run of the Stillaire on the CartelMods website, the shipdate is sometime in february. Its a really top atomizer.
