So it's my one year anniversary, I was going to buy myself a gift of a new mod, but i'm pretty happy with my current mod situation

i'm looking for a tank thats 22mm's, i want a pyrex tank if at all possible

i'm currently using tanks that rn't 22mm's and arn't the best quality.....this is where i gets tricky, i have a bunch of carto's with flanges, single and double coils....so if the tanks needs flanges, it's not a problem

i have unflanged carto's but they are from boge and have been giving me problems but if someone has a tank that can be used without a flange but also a place to get carto's of quality at 1.8ohms or less would be great

i had a VVV prex and really liked it but sold it, is it 22mm? also looked at the dct prex but are they 22mm?

Thanks!

The Triple V pyrex tanks from Valley View are 25mm (1 inch) diameter.

IBTanked makes 19, 22, and 25mm diameter tanks.

What did you not like about the IBTanked? I have 12 of these and believe they offer top quality at an affordable price.

I have a listing of online vendors that sell pre-punched single coil cartomizers for cartotanks in this link. You should be able to find a vendor that has the cartos you want: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3295-2-sample-list-vendors-selling-pre-punched-single-coil-cartomizers-cartotanks.html

I just got my IBTanked tank in today. 22mm black adonized caps with a custom black and silver mottled XL tank. Sits very nicely on my vamo v2 wrapped in black ostrich from JWraps. I used the bottom fill method on the tank and it was a bit slick for 5 min or so but seated itself very nicely and I am happy with it. Maybe you had some bad o-rings?

That obviously had something wrong with it; most likely the wrong size o-rings.

Did you ever contact OCD or the IBTanked customer support? What was their suggestion?

yeah they sent me new orings...didn't fix the problem, i was using boge carto's too

Did you contact IBTanked support again to tell them the replacement o-rings didn't fix your problem? I'm familiar with the staff at IBTanked, especially OCD, and they typically go out of their way to satisfy customers. It is extremely atypical for an IBTanked to have quality control issue. Give them a chance to do you right.

yeah they were really good, after the new o rings didn't work well for me i traded it for a phiniac...which i love but it's a bit bigger than 22mm

Really the only 22mm tanks (for certain on the size) I am aware of that are of any quality are going to be from IBtanked. One of the things that will help if you have a "slidey" tank is to use a non standard drip tip in them...

Off of IBTanked site:
Hourglass Tip
or
Vase Style Tip

These help by being larger than the carto at their base and preventing the tank from sliding all over, kind of like a "top lock" if you will...hope that might be of some help for you!

Absolutely this. If anything, OcD tanks tend to be a bit on the tight side on the carto. Deinitely something wrong with the o-rings. I have several of these at this point and have never had any slippage whatsoever.

I bought a 22mm IBTanked XL for my Vamo. The hourglass tip I got from them fits very loose.

I was kinda bummed about the gap between the tank and vamo, due to the flanged carto.

Can you run a standard no-flange carto with the IBT too?

If the drip tip is too loose, you can always change the o-ring on them as well to a slightly "fatter" o-ring. Helped with some of my favorite tips that were a bit too wiggly. This might just be more work than buying a new drip tip too though....

As for the Vamo, there will ALWAYS be an airgap with a flanged carto, the closest you can get to kill the gap is with a 510->ego adapter that's flush in the vamo, and add a vanity ring. This is actually not a bad plan, as it protects the vamo's actual connector, and can give you a bit more of a sleek appearance (depending on the beauty ring of course)

Even using this method though, there is liable to be a very miniscule air gap.

As for the non flanged carto's in an IBT (or any tank, tbh) yup, sure can. The IBT's grip the carto's tight enough that there's almost no worries of Vaper Lap. Of my three smoktech tanks, my UDCT (pyrex version) and my 19mm fit nice and snug. My 22mm polycarb slips around like a penguin covered in baby oil on a slip and slide. My "economy" polypro tank from VVV... heh, well, lets just say I'd REALLLLLLLY have to try to pull it outta there. (uses a silicone plug type cap)

Hope this helps!
