It has been over a month since I bought my V4L kit and 28 days since I had my last cigarette. I only thought I would try this to cut down. I wanted to be able to vape inside and stay out of the cold. I ended up running out of my smokes and just never bought another pack. BUT everytime I go to the store I automaticlly want to say Marlboro Lights 100's. I have to think about it cause there is still times I would like to smoke. I haven't bought any yet. I have spent a small fortune on carts and juice!
For some reason I have a hard time vaping in the morning. At night it is nonstop. Not sure why. I want to but I cough in the AM. Maybe someone else has a solution.
Thanks :)

Yeah, I never could vape for the first few hours in the morning. It would just tear my throat up badly. I was going through the same thing as you about 2 months after I started vaping. It just wasn't enough. I went as far as 36-48mg juice at night because that's when I vaped the most. Finally found out it was something else in tobacco I was missing, the alkaloids. I started experimenting with swedish snus and nasal snuff, and now I hardly ever use nicotine at all. Maybe one snus a day, an analog's worth of vape a day, and a pinch of snuff at night.

Good luck with that though. If you want to go that route, I would suggest trying it out now before the PACT Act goes through and the prices go up.

Then again, if e-cigs end up being classified as tobacco products you'll have a hard time getting juice as well as you won't be able to purchase it online unless they decide to tax it separately somehow.

The government is just trying to get us to stay on analogs forever for monetary reasons. It's upsetting, I know, but we just have to deal with it and take it one day at a time. Sorry for the rambling. Good luck on quitting the stinky sticks :)

My suggestion on early morning vaping is to get some low nic stuff with no throat hit. Also, I'd suggest getting a humidifier for your bedroom.

Vaping dries you out, and over the course of a night, the added moisture in the air should help with the dry, scratchy throat feeling.

A good flavor with low TH and low nic is easily vapeable in the morning in my opinion.

I've found that using snus first thing when I wake up helps a lot with the morning cigarette craving. I vape 24mg all day and for a month or so I couldn't vape in the morning much because it was massive lung and throat hits. But that slowly went away and now I don't have any problems with the first craving of the day. I bet the OP will get used to it sooner or later. Just takes time. Good luck!

I will add that I went through a phase about 1.5 months in..... which lasted for about a week... where my first morning vape would hit me really hard and I'd have to take partial "draws" to get over it. But I was running insanely high nicotine content at that time and running a really hot 510 atty. All those things add up.

My tastes changed, my nicotine content went down, and the "problem" abated. Never figured out what the exact culprit, or aggregation of minor culprits was.

Thanks for all the advice. I smoked for 25 years but always smoked lights. My first order I ordered 18 and 24 mgs. They were too strong for me. I could never get a good TH. 11 mgs seem to be right for me. My juice is low (I think that is 8 mgs.)
I did not cough with my 1st cig of the day. Good point though. I am sure alot of people did. I should lower my nicotine though cause when I chain vape at night, my face gets beat red and my heart beats faster. I thought I would get use to it by now but I am not.
I guess everyone is different and it all trial and error.
I love all the advice on here. I am on this forum everyday. I don't think I could get by without you all :)

Funny. Since I've quit cigarettes I've been very concious when I buy. I always look at the cigs behind the counter and remember but I haven't had to stop myself asking for them.

In fact, I was a little self concious at first b/c most of my regular places I'd go I didn't even have to ask they'd just get a pack of cigs for me.

Ironically since I've been vaping they haven't grabbed them for me. I never told any of them. Am I wearing an invisible sign that says I don't smoke anymore? I really don't know and I won't bring it up tho.

You can try getting a VG carto for your morning vape sessions to ease the TH and then use your PG the rest of the day

xdunlapx, I have a similar problem and have been looking for other sources of MAOi that are present in cigarette smoke but absent in vapor. I tried kava and passionflower and other sources; they help some, but not quite, if you know what I mean. I have been thinking about snus, but I'm worried about getting hooked on it. My friends in Sweden have used snus forever, but they have just switched from smoking to snusing; the addiction is just as strong--snus provides the same insanely addictive combination of nicotine and MAOi. Are you still using snus or have you been able to transition to vaping only? And also, what flavor snus do you like? I remember the Swedish snus from my years spent in Sweden; even the smell of the stuff made me sick...
