I have a new found friend. I'm tickled pink about it too. You see, last week, we met and I've not let go since. I even tossed away my current relationship of 29 years in just 4 days. I'm sure many of you have done this too. I never thought that I would just let go so easily but yet I did and it has felt so great. Bye bye analogs and hello personal vaporizor!!
I've tried to quit smoking a few times but rarely made it past day 3. I kept my analogs infront of me this time around(for those times of panic and anxiety)..after day 4..they got tossed into the bottom of the deep freeze. I didn't need them nor want them..but I know their there just incase. (and it will take some doing to get them out lol). All the people I work with are happy too because their still walking around with their heads attached...there has been no cravings, no irritability, no breakdowns of any kind. In the last 4 days of analogs, I had 8....compared to 100 that would have been normally smoked. And now, even though it has been a very short time, I can not imagine going back to the carcinogenic chemicals. That is how I look at it. When my kids ask me if there is anything I ever regretted doing in my life...the answer is yes...smoking.

Thanks for reading, I just needed a place to let my thoughts out.

Hey, welcome to the ECF!! Thank you for sharing your story and I'm glad that you have found the ECF. It's a great place to learn all that you need to know about vaping.

And yeah, after a while. Those cigs are gonna taste like crap and plus, the smell of it is gonna disgust you. Anyways, once you get to 15 posts than you can explore everything that this great forum has to offer. Don't be afraid to ask any questions. There are a LOT, I mean a LOT of helpful people here that will help you out anyway they can.

Welcome and congratulations!

After smoking for 38 years I was able to put down the analogs as soon as I picked up an e-cig and today is day 30 for me. Tomorrow will be a month and after that I'm gonna start counting months instead of days - I'm still a n00b, though :D

The spousal unit quit smoking and started vaping a bit better than a week and a half ago and she's also doing great - for us vaping has indeed been a blessing. I have mild to moderate COPD and adult onset asthma and I figured I was gonna smoke analogs until they killed me - I'm now off my daily inhaled meds and feel better than I have in in a couple of years.

Quitting smoking is an amazing thing so please be sure to take some time to pat yourself on the back for doing something amazing - since I believe Big Tobacco puts a buncha stuff in sickarettes to keep us hooked you've really accomplished something :)

There's a buncha knowledge here - and a lot of people have already made the n00b mistakes I'm still making so please don't be afraid to ask anything at all - this is really a great group of folks.

And again, congratulations - and welcome.
