Unprotected batts *can* be dangerous, and most will advise against it. Doesn't mean that it *will* be dangerous, so it's a 'use at your own risk' kinda thing.
But just so you aware of the *possible* dangers, they include fire and explosion.

lobro1... I agree...just because you can (change out attys every two weeks) doesn't mean you should ;)

Cass, unprotected batts can be very dangeroous to be honest, if misused. I think there are cr2 LiPo4 battes available now, but I'm not sure where. They are suppposed to be much safer. I wwould recommend these if you can find them.

With that said, you don't have to go to 6v. if you don't want to. I would recommend using whatever mod you get at 3.7 to see if that satisfies you. There is a big difference just between a "stock" battery and a battery "mod", even at 3.7v.

While I like 6v. vaping with certain juice's, there are others that are perfect at 3.7, and the higher volt's ruins them.

Flavors, to me are very subjective. What I like, you might hate. You really have to try them to see if you like them. Sample sizes are you're friend in this department.I highly recommend getting sample sizes when you can. And when you can't, ask. You never know what a supplier will do.

With that being said, my two favorites are Awesome vapor RY4 at 6v. No other RY4 tastes close to me, and I have tried a few of the more popular ones. And 6v. takes away some of the sweetness, which can get to be too much to me, leaving more of the flavor.Halo's Vanilla bella cigar is great at 3.7v, but the flavor burns out at 6v. This is the closest I have found to a true tobacco flavor(pipe tobacco to me), but I have only tried a few.

Is that a misprint? Looks like they're only 200mAH...that's hardly any better than a standard e-cig battery!

So far I've not seen an unprotected battery with enough of a boost over a usually cheaper protected version to justify the risk. I suppose some people would appreciate a battery that lasts 20% longer, but for me if it lasts all day, it's good enough and more would be overkill--too literally.

THE SEARCH IS OVER...for now....got myself a protege in the post(on wednesday!!!)...not brand new but im ok with that as a first mod...

anyone who has one/hates them feel free to enlighten me : o)

so very excited...thanks for everything guys...going with a chuck for other half for valentines too... : o)

: o)

yeah i understand what u mean thulium...but the chuck for my other half will allow me to try(and steal!!!) his...

v happy for the mo....will report back when it gets here...

The difference between 6V and 5V can be 8-o to :w00t:, so if when you get his Chuck if you find you like the flavor better after the batteries have drained a bit, you'll see what I mean. Valentines Day is less than 6 weeks away--do you know if you'll get the Chuck in time?

They average two weeks from initial email to delivery. Both of mine did.

In my opinion if you want something that looks good and performs good the protege is the way to go. I'm sure you wouldn't go wrong with a screwdriver, a lil chuck or any of the other countless mods but you said that looks was most important at this point and for me the protege tops them all in that department. I vape a lot and a battery usually last me about 6 hours of steady vaping.

I would disagree. Since you can choose exactly what the Chuck looks like, I would say that it would qualify as the "best looking" since it is user designed.

hi deschain

i kinda discounted the spade...think u recommended it to me b4...checked it out on dietsmokes but its all black and looks quite looong...liked the look of protege more and its a bit more expensive but silver and cool looking...i dont mind the money part(as its nearly my bday!) so i want something spectacular....

all the ones ive picked are silver which is my fav look of the mods out there...

thanks for the advice...

The Spade is the same as vaprlife's VP1, which is available in all silver.
