There are lots of big battery mods to choose from, and they all do basically the same thing. So form factor becomes one of the major issues. The same shoe simply doesn't fit every foot.
That said the SB does seem to be the mod that all others are measured against. The Precise and The Don are as nice, but they both have bottom switches and cost more. The Bolt is an inexpensive knock off of the SB, and lacks the same level of quality. The list just goes on and on.
I just put the Kick by Evolv (45$) in my SB last night, so now regardless of the charge condition of the battery, or the resistance of the atty/carto I have on it, the hit is going to be exactly what I want it to be.
I just now took a 3ohm carto tank off of it, and put a 1.5ohm atty on for a little direct dripping, and the hit from both is perfect.

An 18650 mod will last you about a day and a half of battery life. The Silver Bullet is an exceptional choice for the battery type. Realize, however, that the size and weight difference between the SB and an ego is significant.

Keep your eyes posted to the classies. I just got my wife a Pink SB pretty much brand new with 2 18650's and a 30ml of juice for $70.
Seconded! The classifieds are a great way to get your hands on a mod for a bit cheaper. If it's not for you, you can more than likely sell it in the classifieds as well.

I'm not looking for pricey. I am looking for a good quality unit.
I have a VaprLife VV turbo, it will only dial down to 4.1V. ...still too much current for my
    LR DCCs.

If you are willing to spend a little more, this is a totally different option.

The Touchwood 18650 is a wood mod, with Brass end caps that has olde world charm, vaps amazingly well because of the use of brass, and just feels fantastic in your hand!

Just putting another option, besides the basic "tube" mod, out there.

    Not for everyone!

Handmade, from the U.K. out of reclaimed Jarrah-an, also known as Australian Mahogany wood off of an abandoned railway sleeper car! Costs less then you'll spend on a ProVari!

I'm going to pick up one of these from litecigs when they're back in stock. It's an 18650 battery using an ego controller (behaves like ego, same 5-clicks on/off). I use eGo Mega Tank attys with the ego booster VV attachment. With an 1000mah ego battery and the ego booster, the thing gets ridiculously long. The ego mod is a little broader base which should help it stand up better, and some additional battery time to boot. I actually came over to ask about the litecigs 18650 batt, but I guess I'll open up a new thread for that.
