I have been using Boge LR (2ohm) cartos in tanks on my 18350 battery powered wood box mods, and I just recently got a couple of eGo Twists, being my first entry into variable voltage. These things are great, but going back to my wood mods is kind of lack luster since the Twist came into my life. I'm very in touch with the maker of my wood mods, and I brought this up to him, asking how I could possibly jump these mods up to 4.2-4.4 volts, and he said the switches on the mods won't really man up to the higher voltages, and that 1.7ohm cartos are working great for him on the mods. So...I ordered some Smoktech 1.7ohm cartos from MadVapes, and they came in today and I am blown away at the vapor production with these. After looking into it, I guess going this route was a way to get these results before VV was a common thing. After more research I find these 1.7ohm 'Resurrectors' from Crystal Clear vaping, and people in the reviews are just in love with these things. I am going to order a bunch of these, but I wondered what others on here with more experience than myself might think on this topic.

Note: If any moderators want to move this to the carto section feel free; I just wanted to post here to get views and replies and not get buried. Thank you all..

boges have been extremely hit or miss lately....so i've given up on cartos pretty much, but i've heard great things about the resurrectors.

if you want to ruin cartomizers too, try some cisco spec 1.8 ohm 306 atomizers from avid vaper (or any cisco atomizer really, the 1.8ohm 306 is my favorite) on those 3.7v devices.
you will be blown away by flavor, vapor, and throat hit.

The 1.7 ohm smoke tech and the 1.7 ohm resurrector are the same thing, just so you know.

And yup. Before regulated mods got a good foot hold, there were few options other than stacking batteries or using lower resistance. The first time I ordered attys, my options were 2.5 ohms and 3.0 ohms. Six months later, there were LRs all the way down to 1.5 ohms and HV's as high as 4.0 ohms. Currently in my inventory, I have attys and cartos at 1.5, 1.7, 1.8, 2.0, 2.2, 2.4, 2.5, 2.8, 3.0, 3.2, and 4.0 ohms. I used to regularly use different PVs and different battery configurations that made any of those things work quite acceptably. -- Now, though I still own and use some mechanical PVs, my VV's account for the majority of my vaping.

I ordered some resurrectors from CCV just today. I've never used them before, but I have never had a problem with smoktech cartos, ever. I'll be happy to share my opinion whenever they land.

I still need to get something higher resistance to use on my kgo VV though. I can't play with it to it's full potential since I only have LR stuff.

going back to my wood mods is kind of lack luster since the Twist came into my life.

I had the opposite experience, started out with twist VV and ended up with a bottom feeder.

For me, there are but a few juices that actually have enough "complexity" that I get all those layers when turning up the Twist past 4.0. I can see why, if somebody fell in love with a truly complex juice they would want to turn it up.

But with most juices, all it did was make things taste hotter and hit harder, which I do not like.

I AM interested in hearing FB about those Ressurectors though!

missed this before. I thought the standard smoktechs were a vertical coil and the resurrectors are horizontal coils, or SOMETHING. Bottom coil, whatever. At least that's what I gathered.

In any case the 15 carto deal is sweet.

I absolutely love those Resurrectors. The provide good flavor and good vapor.

One thing, though - If you even suspect it might just possibly maybe by some chance
be getting low on juice - top it off. Seriously. Cuz if you taste anything burnt and push
past that, the carto is done and I've never been able to revive a burnt one by cleaning it.

Other than that, I'll be ordering some more. They are great on my 3.7 V and on my Twist.

Thanks for clearing that up, I was wondering if there was a difference. You just can't beat the price from CCV, especially with free shipping and a thrown in drip tip.

I thought I might try my hand at rebuildables and other forms of vaping, But I had horrible experiences with the Vivi 2.5/Mini Vivi/E1 Reload/Stardusts so clearos and atty tanks are not for me. Not until they don't suck anyway.. Also, dripping; while some people swear by it, it seems to me to be too big a pain to enjoy. I am waiting to pick my JonBoy LavaTank out this month, it will be my first, and I just generally like the look and ease of use of tanks/cartos. I currently use Mini Sub tanks from momandpopvaporshop.com, and 3ml J-Tanks from electronicstix.com and I am super happy with these. I just really want to use my wood mods and I don't like the feel of a small stick like a Twist in my hand. I don't want to have to buy a Provari. I guess everybody has to find what works for them, and I am happy to have found that in under 3 months time vaping. Oh yeah, my 3 monthaversary is the 16th! No stinkies for this kid, ever again.

So these should be great in tanks then? I mean, they won't risk being burnt due to lack of juice?

I use the Smoketech 1.7s with my Kgo. The first ones I bought were small size like the Boge size. I loved them. The best vape I've had yet. So I thought, oh man, if they were so good, I will order 3 packs of them in the longer version. Well, I can tell you that I don't like the longer version. The initial fill on them, the vape is good. But when it is time to top them off, I don't think the juice gets wicked as well as with the shorter version. The long version tends to leak thru the battery end after awhile instead of soaking.
Therefore, my next order of cartos will be the Smoketech 1.7 ohm shorties.
Just my experience here.
Vape on.

I can't speak for tanks cuz I haven't used them in one. But, I think you are right - that they should work
fine. However, I was reading about a tank system today and it was recommended to take the cap off the
tank when it was about 1/2 empty to cause the pressure to force joose into the carto so it doesn't burn.

So how do these work? I see you have a 3ml or 6ml bottle in the unit, but is it an atty? how does it get in there? you squeeze it?
subtle_banter, I am one of those that swear by dripping, but totally agree with you on the hassle of it. I bought a bottom feeder and have never looked back, wish it was the first thing I bought, it would have been the last. Drip hit, taste & vapor without the hassle of drooping 3 drops in every few minutes. ( Reo Grand )

Yeah I do that with my Mini Sub tank. It seems to work well.

Bivie is absolutely correct about this. Also, be sure to fill them initially and let them sit for about 5 minutes to make sure they wick completely the first time. They can also be a bit too hot for some lighter tasting juices and will have a slight burnt flavor even when you know the cartridge is full especially on long hits.

This exact thing happened to me last night. I filled a brand new one with a mild RY4, and just as Critter said,
it overwhelmed the flavor and had an underlying burnt taste. I don't get this on my 555, so it is better with
darker, stronger-flavored jooses.
