Welcome aboard and good luck. Click on settings to add a signature it's on the top right hand of the page.

As for bluecigs you probably won't find many fans of them on this site. They are considered to be overpriced and under performing. However, there are people who do like them. I have been vaping for about three years and haven't bought anything new in over a years. However, someone did give me this link recently and at these prices I was seriously tempted.

Thank you for the info. So far Blucig is the only 2piece noob friendly e cig I could find without PG. I don't care for the added sweetness of it. I do plan on upgrading in the near future.

I'm getting good reviews already from my wife who loves the fact I don't smell like an ash tray. ( already noticed the increase in smooches)

I'll invest in better hardware once I can wrap my head around it all. For the time being simple is good.

I do give bluecigs credit for making the commercials that promote smoking alternatives, but thats about it.

Youll find yourself spending more and more money with the simple small kits trying to find a good one.

I think the best starter is an ego + cartomizer kit such as Electronic Cigarette - Starter Kits - Smok Tech EGO

Battery life is about double of the bluecig.

Youll also need a bottle of liquid as well.

Good luck in your search.

I actually started vaping with the disposable bluecigs. All due to stayed over at my youngest brothers house for an all night gaming but his wife gets sick from the smell of smoke. So my other brother took me to walgreens since I had remembered seeing them there. She was completely fine with me vaping eveng ave a few puffs in the house and and was given approval to do so inside so didn't have to go outside(which was great as it had started to rain).

Well months later of having a few more of those blue cigs and going back and forth from them and my Marlboro reds(out of habit), I've now got an actual kit. It's pretty much the kit alpha posted but I got a 2 tanks, (3ml and 5ml). Definatly better then the bluecigs and given time even with initial kit cost will be cheaper then buying bluecigs and hugely cheaper then smoking Reds (which even the tobacco flavor juice is hella smoother)

I'd highly recommend seeing if ya can find a brick and mortar place near where you are. If there anything like the people where I got my kit they will gladly take the time to explain and let you try the different types of ecigs atom vs carto , prefilled vs refillable and few other types. Also sampling some of the MANY different flavors, even if ya just want a tobacco flavor theres a selection of different tabacco flavors also many fruit desert and lots of others (btw I'm a Mountain Dew junkie that's had to cut back due to drinking way to much and finding out I'm a diabetic and well when I mentioned I like Mountain Dew, was told " oh we have that flavor" I had to try it, dang is it close, really close to the same thing, well let's just say I bought the last 2 bottles they had ).

I'm gonna shut up now as I'm rambling on.

Congrats on 3 days!!!!

I didn't, but many many folks on here started out wanting something that looked like a cig and was easy. Most all of them were happy with that set up for about 5 minutes. As 18650 said, you won't find many fans of blu's, mostly because they are so overpriced, and they really don't satisfy folks for very long. For about 45.00 I highly recommend the kgo kit. It really is just as simple, and not much bigger. Mash a button, draw on it, inhale, exhale. If you are fine with the filler cartos, you can find them cheaply and the biggest issue will be finding juices you like, but you will have a huge selection to choose from. Or...buy blu flavors from Johnson creek or whoever it is. Approx 25 drops will fill a carto, when it tastes dry, add some more. Other than a tiny bit of size, the only real difference is mashing a button and dripping out drops from a dripper bottle.
Benefits:
510 thread connection that will allow you to use all the most popular types of juice holders out there
1100 mah battery = it will last you ALL day without recharging unless you literally never stop vaping all day.
Much less expensive!! Particularly in the long run.
Better ability to customize your juices: flavor, all vg, or pg/vg ratio etc because the cartos are so much cheaper, that you can have a lot of them on hand. 50 of them for 60.00 or 15 for 20.00 approx. The cartomizer is the what blu calls a cartridge, same thing.

Totally up to you, if blu is what you want....go for it. I just wanted to share some info that I've heard over and over and over from folks who started with those.

When I say slight size difference......the 1100 mah kgo battery with a regular cartomizer on it is about 1-1/4" longer than a cigarette and not much bigger around. Add 3/4" if you want to use a drip tip which I highly recommend.

PG isn't really a sweetener, most folks use it to thin out their VG. Like-70PG/30VG- is a popular mixing ratio. Pg is known for helping to give Throat Hit, and make vaping seem more like smoking.

You can get flavors in straight VG and dilute it with water if you need. It flows better in cartos if you do.

The more research I do, the more I begin to understand the role PG plays. I'll be using the blucig kit for work where I can't be toting anything too bulky or complicated. I'll be looking for a nice PV for home and off time use. Looking at the volcano brand vv kit ATM. Still a bit much to wrap my head around. Thanks for all the kind words and suggestions.

I quit after 25 years and 1-2 pack a day Newport habit. I have not smoked for 2 months and would not have made it with out a VV. I used it for morning and really bad withdrawal times, to crank up voltage for a big hit. I use the VV now for all times with the ego twist out there, cant beat the price, but I wish you the best of luck!

Hi and welcome, i to was going to go with blu, ended up getting a ego most will say, an ego or kgo is the best starter kit to start with. blu isnt that bad, but you wont get alot of th or flavor like you do with a clearomizer which is great to start of with(just not friendly with certian juices). if you ever decide to upgrade go with an ego, 2 options really, buy a kit, or make your own kit ;) if you make your own kit, make sure to get a joyetech battery charger usb and wall charger, and then a few batteries, like ego t or ego c twist batteries 650 or 1000 mah battery and few clearomizers and juice.. I got alot of my stuff from altsmoke, if you are looking for something like blu, more here recommend the volt AltSmoke.com | Personal Vaporizers | Electronic Cigarette | Ecigs | | Volt Electronic Cigarette again welcome to ecf :)

Three days here without smoking. I must admit I've been feeling the effects of chemical withdrawl. Ive been vaping with various e cigs and was about to purchase a blucig starter set.

I haven't figured out how to add a signature yet.

You are not alone with the chemical withdraw - I have gone through the same thing. I am into my 3rd week and things are looking/feeling much better.

    Good luck and Happy Vaping!:thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

    Hi, welcome & congratulations!

Your taste buds will go CRAZY for a while, but it will settle down eventually, I promise! I went through an awful 3-day period where I couldn't taste anything - almost drove me crazy, but thankfully it resolved itself. I hear this isn't uncommon & could reoccur

Long story short, I started w/the Blu, which made me realize this was something I could really do. Then I moved to a Volt, and I'm staying here right now so I don't go broke  and because it's working for me. Just couldn't keep those Blu batteries charged more than an hour no matter how I tried.

Just don't give up - that's the most important thing!!
