@redeuce , I am so proud of you!!!!! That is awesome, I knew you could do it! Now I can't wait to see that banner below your posts! Being smoke free is the best, and I bet you will find that soon, you won't be craving that a.m. cigarette :) Yay, ya, that's fantastic!!! :)

I did vape through some calamities, LOL, so whatever Monday brings, I am planning on continuing vaping. Whatever goes down, I just can't even imagine a cigarette making anything better except in the most transitory of ways, which isn't really worth it. I can't believe I'm saying these thing, either.

Lol, I could probably get the husband to design that T-shirt, he was going to be a medical illustrator until computers came in a changed all that, so he went to engineering instead! We could get a shipment in for ECF members, hahaha. Though, I'm betting you creative lot could come up with some even better slogans... I could get him to draw the classic "cigarette lung" on the back with "I thought I loved smoking but..." and then, pictures of vaping setups on the front, with "But vape life is so much better!" This might serve a dual purpose of making him even more uncomfortable with his smoking than he is now. :)

I think he fully expected me to freak out in advance about my jaw and start smoking, which I didn't do, heh, this is mainly due to the fact that I get much less freaky about *everything* when I'm vaping, I continue to maintain that it has changed my personality for the better. I have not pushed ONE shopping cart out of my way (I didn't do it with stealth, either) since starting vaping, I just stand there politely or go to a different aisle.....:lol:.

Since I was often ashamed of my impatience in various arenas, it's really becoming pleasant, I don't have to come home going, "WTH with YOU, Anna? You suck as a human being...." :D

Well done. I'm glad you are here, you are a constructive contributor to the site. I can relate to the quitting thing. I smoked like a train for decades and tried everything short of a lobotomy to quit and nothing even came close. Then I vaped. Hang in there and yell if we can help.

Sorry to derail, but fascinating. You know, prior to that profession collapsing, had he pursued that career, he'd be one of the rarest professionals on earth. I came very close to pursuing that career, but my poor mathematics skills limited my science pursuits, so I just focused on the arts and writing.

I just realized, I missed my three month anniversary but yay, it happened! I vaped through needing the Heimlich, (for reals) a recluse spider bit, adjusting all my meds, readjusting all my meds (tobacco metabolism pathways are a bit different than nicotine pathways, it's been a bit of a PITA, but I'm getting there) oral surgeries while awake then on advil, oh, the list goes on, LOL. :)

You could NOT have convinced me that this would be possible in the slightest prior to it actually happening! I'm pretty much celebrating by continuing to vape and letting my bank account balance recalibrate, heh. So it's an easy going anniversary, but looking back I just feel incredibly lucky and gifted to have gotten this far, with not only ease (no grace though, LOL) but actually ENJOYING myself, learning new things, and meeting virtual AWESOME vapers. So, I'm quite happy to be sitting here, recalling what life was like with cigs (horrible, and I don't EVER want to forget it! I actively try to remember)

Vape life is SO much better! Thank you ECF so much and to all you wonderful members who helped me along the way, you guys are the best!

Congratulations !

Derail away! Yes, he was lucky to even get into a program, and they considered closing down... He still paints occasionally, and builds the most artistic stuff. I always feel bad because his art is amazing but he decided that pursuing that route was insane in terms of supporting a family, and went the engineer route instead.

He was still a bachelor at the ripe age of 43 when we started dating, LOL, but I will say he DID support our family like crazy, including the kid, who he treats as though he were his very own. Since I couldn't have more children, and the ex was notoriously inept at doing anything other than traumatizing the kid, I can't say he made a bad choice, as I know how difficult the art field is. He still does crazy stuff like build a labyrinth aligned to magnetic north as well as having spent a year building a sundial and tracking where all the equinoxes fell, maybe when he retires he'll get back into some art stuff. I asked him to make a bed, and this is what I got, LOL. It's all oak, it has to be disassembled any time it gets moved as it is so heavy.... LOL. But, I feel like a princess, he included LIGHTS for night reading (very handy) and the dressers are all one piece. He designed and built every single part himself.

NO complaints about husband #2. Well, not today, anyway..... :)

Oh and my jaw since I mentioned it. I was whining to my mom (yes, I still do that, LOL) she was like, "Isn't that just like an abscessed tooth? Go to urgent care, I bet they'll give you abx," which in fact, they took my blood and my white cell count was high, so they figured it was probably that and I started on abx. I'm actually feeling a bit better than I was, and I see the oral surgeon this morning. I'm just hoping he can rip that implant out and I can continue on my merry way with 3 (and no bone grafting), that's my HOPE anyway.... :)

Moms can be so useful! Mine's 70, but she's still way sharper than me, LOL.

I do! Saw the oral surgeon and it's a "nothing" something, some sort of lump/inflammation caused by ill-fitting dentures that is harmless and (eventually) fixable.... So now, instead of selling a kidney for bone grafting, I get to buy a new setup, since I said I would celebrate if it was cheap. Thank you, Bigbob2322. :)

Been there before. Sore gums, food gets in between. Not fun.
