3 questions on cartos

1. Will my juice dry up if I don't vape it immediately?
Right now since I'm in search of the ever coveted all day vape, I like to switch between cartos/flavors but I don't want to have my juices go away in one while vaping another.


2. I picked up a couple dual coil mega carts and have been trying to vape with them on my regular 1000 mah passthrough ego bat but the vape production sucks! Is it because my bat doesn't have enough power to fire both of the coils up? I can use a regualr boge cart and get a good strong vape every time but not with the duals


3. Is priming my carts before I use them really required? I've seen some people say yes and some say no...
What say ye?

1. No, not unless you let the carto sit there for weeks on end. you may want to put the "little white rubber cap" back on the carto or the "condoms" that most blank cartos come with.

2. I don't have an ego so I'm not sure but I assume the 3.7 volts isn't enough to fully fire both coils, i'd try a 2.5 or 3.0 ohm single coil and see if that helps.

3. BIG YES!!!!!! If you don't prime them, you will most likely get a really horrible burned taste. If you tasted it once, you will remember it forever, been there, done that. Plus, it will most likely ruin your carto. That smell and taste is nearly impossible to get outta the carto! Take the extra 5 min and prime your carto!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1 - No. What you can do is put back the condoms that come with the cartomizer and keep them on while you store them

2 - Yes. Dual coil cartos have two standard or even high resistance coils linked in parallel. That means more coil surface area, but half of the power goes to each coil. So they are expected to perform poorly at low voltage. You need higher voltage to drive them. It's a problem because they are advertised as low resistance (which is technically correct, the total resistance of the parallel circuit is low, but each coil has high resistance); that might initially fool you into expecting the performance of a low resistance single coil...

3 - Priming? What do you mean? Do you mean a short powered drag before actually taking the long inhale? This was needed with older cartomizers and maybe still needed with small, automatic (puff activated) batteries. I don't know what eGo you have, but it is most likely a 3.3 V manual device. The voltage is quite low (that's why we recommend true 3.7 V devices whenever possible) and you might need to push the button ~2 seconds before starting to actually draw. See if that helps - it might, but not a lot.

Carts are cartridges and cartos are cartomizers. You should be using single coil IMO. First fill of a cartomizer is VERY IMPORTANT otherwise poor vape and the very real possibility of burning the filler. Just bought a friend the Ego C 1100 mah BUT rather than cartos or tanks I got the Clearomizers. He was vaping in minutes with tons of vapor, flavor and TH. The Kit I bought:

I use one of the mega dc cartos on my eGo and it works great. Took me a bit to figure it out though. Fill it til it leaks out the bottom and see if you're getting good vapor after you blow it out. Those things hold a lot of juice, more than I was expecting. Seems like you just haven't filled it up all the way. Also try to puff it a couple times before you take a slow drag, it seems to work better once it's warmed up. Good luck!

I had an ego. I believe they put out about 3.3 v which isn't enough to rock a DC. Single coil and 2.2 ohms or less is best on ego Bart's


Never had a cartoon dry out on me before. I belie this us BC the liquid us an oily liquid. I may be wrong on this.

I always do a quick prime. Although I admitted I cheat. Only a couple little drops right down the center. Then I fell my carto up or put it in one of my tanks

1 no your juice will be totally fine i would go with the 510 boge cartomizer,they are very good

3 no you dont need to prime them,just fill and vape away,thats what i like about cartomizers

I've seen some people say that you are suppose to fill up the rubber condom with juice then slowly feed the cart into the condom from the thread side so that the juice goes up and gets everything all nice and wet. You can see a video clip of what I am talking about here Skip to the 5:25 mark

I have experienced this horrible flavor from hell already, I was vaping on a ce4 and took a huge pull without making sure the wicks were wet...Got a lung full of the nastiest crap i've ever tasted and freaking ruined my clearomizer.

That's not priming, that's filling the cartomizer. Yes, you either need to fill it with the condom method or in the case of your mega dc carto's you can use a syringe or patiently drop down into the fill. Do this until it leaks out of the battery connection. Blow it out, from the battery side a bit and vape away!

One more thing I've found on the cartomizers - You want to hear a crackling almost gurgling sound to know it's getting juice to the coils.
