Was it something I said?
1. "Smoking" bloogs while working in the lab. Haven't been able to smoke while playing scientist since, well ever. WINNING!

Was playing with tobacco so I rolled one up and stepped outside to try an analog tonight, yuck! LOOSING!

2. Making WTA for my bloogs and excited about it. WINNING!

Kamel, 16mg. Sweet and flowery. Huh? It's not gross, in fact it's kinda nice, but for even trying to associate it with Camel? LOOSING!

3. Lanyards. #6 o-ring from any hardware store fits the bloog perfectly. One ring to rule them all oops, sorry Sauran, One ring around the bloog. Second ring in an infinity symbol under the first ring. Para cord through the infinity loop and to fit yer neck. A figure 8 knot turns the line into a loop. Try ribbon instead of cord and make it a mobius lanyard. No pocket lint, no scratching on yer keys, no waking up in the AM with yer bloog stuck between yer unmentionables because you fell asleep vaping. WINNING!

Fishing in my lake and taking home a 12 pound catfish? LOOSING! Catch and release cracker, catch and release! Besides, I practically pee'd on yer dinner 5 minutes before you got here. LOOSING!

4. Homebrew stout FTWinning!
Schlitz Malt Liquor (hey, I needed a good solvent bottle for my WTA project), still, LOOSING! (but good for making a four point list titled "3 things...")
:toast:

Oh and PS, for anybody who is new, thinking of switching from analog to e, switch your analog brand a week or two before you switch to e's. Then when you have an analog, it's not that friendly dealer who has been there for you for years, it's that new pusher you're not quite sure you like, but you'll tolerate because, well you're a junky. Until you're not. Then you really won't want much to do with him other than to test his company and decide, "hey, you're kinda crude and you smell like ...".

One last thing, I just want to see what this fire thing looks like
whoa, scary, way better than on the post a post page, all you can see is the very top....

Sounds interesting but I got lost after second ring in infinity... Whats an infinity symbol, you mean with the cord? Could you explain further for those of us with zero technical abilities? :D

It's all right, I got lost too, but I have schlitz malt liquor to blame! OK?

Red, yes Charlie was the inspiration, thought the reference would be obvious.

WTA = Whole Tobacco Alkaloid. Search the forum and you'll find a good bit of info. Basically the idea is that there are other relatively harmless active ingredients in tobacco than nicotine. Like nicotine, these compounds are of a class called alkaloids. They are suspected to be why a good percentage of people don't respond well to nicotine replacement therapy, because other things than nicotine are "needed". Big pharma has and is addressing this in several ways, by trying to mimic some of the antidpressant qualities through drugs like welbutrin, or by including some of them or similar drugs along with nicotine in patches gums or lozenges. DIY chemist types are just starting with tobacco and extracting all the alkaloids to put in their own juice. I've been relatively resistant to NRT in the past, always feeling like something was missing and always relapsing, so I'm giving Whole Tobacco Alkaloid a shot in my bloogs.

Again, #6 o-rings, found in the plumbing section of hardware stores, a box for a buck or so. I have no idea if these things are internationally standard, but I doubt it, so for non-USA types, I'll leave the converting up to you.

These pics may help:

Here we see the one o-ring to rule them all I mean the one o-ring on the bloog, with the second o-ring looking all infinite. (geez, guess we have no Tolkien fans here, I thought that one was so funny I had to recycle it!)

Here we see the lanyard running through the second o-ring.
You could just run the lanyard through the first o-ring, but i think by using the second that the first o-ring will maintain it's firm rubbery grip on your bloog, making it less likely to fall out. It also lets you do this:

It lets me get a grip and take a drag without touching the bloog. Came in handy working on the car when my hands were greasy, only the back of my knuckle touched the bloog. Not hands free, but still somewhat helpful. You can do this grip with the lanyard going through the first o-ring, but the second gives a little more substance to grip.

Oh, and yes I think wearing this around on a lanyard looks full on dork. But i went for a paddle yesterday and didn't want to do something stupid like drop my bloog in the water! For now I'm using it like croakies on sunglasses, use 'em when you need them but keep it hidden the rest of the time!

I love this analog!!! The only reason I hated giving up my ego tank was because of the o-ring style lanyard that I got with it at ovale. I dislike the leaford style lanyards which have a pocket. This is basically the same thing as the ovale one. Thanks so much for posting! I'm headed to the hardware store......... :)

Oh, I'm going to use it with my usb laynard....

AND I can make one to go on my keychain, a clip style so I can easily remove it. This is great! As you can see I am very excited:banana:

Thanks Dawn and Evie!
One more, for, um, special-ness I guess.
Bloog on a stick! WINNING!
attachment.php

(I have no idea why, other than why not?)

Oh, and you know how often the "my mod is bigger and badder than any of your wimpy little analog sized thing" crowd buts into a small pv thread? Well here is my response.

attachment.php

It's a solid brass, 2 pound, bird shaped PV! The performance of a bloog, in a large, heavy, unwieldy form factor to please the most diehard modders! WINNING!

edit to add:
Holy crap, as embarrassing as this sounds, after the photo op, I found that the bird is actually perfectly aligned to sit on my laptop, on my lap, laying in bed, and allow me to vape hands free. I actually think I may use this from time to time! (I have no idea if this is winning or loosing?)

I spent the weekend researching WTA and whats "missing" in ejuice. Are you able to do the extraction yourself? I'm so lost with these things. I was hoping to find someone selling it in their e juice but I didn't see anything. Is it helping you? I still can't believe there are anti depressants in ciggies - crazy!

I haven't made any yet, but yes I'm able to. I have a relatively well equipped home lab setup. While there seems to be at least one member trying to figure out how to do it for people that aren't experienced with chemistry, most people would not be advised to try this. Acids, bases, solvents, and nearly pure alkaloids are things that should scare most laymen, but chemists are used to giving them their due respect.

It's likely to not be particularly cheap either, the tobacco to start with is taxed and chemicals aren't free. But I think it will be chemically superior to nic only juice, and it will lend that "roll-yer-own" aspect to vaping for me.
