3 twists broke... Need something more durable. (Please help :\ )

if you want durable, get a provari. Mines been through absolute hell for a year. Dropped it on cement, driveway, carpet, hardwood, knock it over on tables off tables. I've dropped it and broken 4 cartomizers, the carto broke, the provari... not a scratch. Works like a champ, never gives up and at 5v, 3ohm carto, vaping 6-10ml a day I get a full day out of a battery np, sometimes if I change it in the morning, it's lunch the next day before I get the flashing red light of anxiety.

All the 'cheap' VVs are just that, cheap. People have their fav and I'm sure I'll get flamed but if you buy a chinese knock off, you get a chinese knock off. buy quality and it pays for itself in durability.

I dont know how anyone can break a twist so easily... I drop mine all the time and on occasion, it had to be used as a blunt weapon using a vivi nova as the edge... been months since I bought it and it still vapes like a champ

With that said I just picked up a couple EGO twists for my wife and both Her and I are pleasantly surprised how well they work. We vape around 4.2-4.5V and the twists are hitting every bit as good as the provari at those voltages. If the twists were around when we started vaping I am not sure we would have ever looked into a provari. Sure the twist is a disposable but the lighter slimmer package and no worry if my wife ruins them makes the twist a great value.

I'm of two minds about the Twist vs a sturdy APV like the Provari.

I like the features of the Provari and the fact that I can change out the battery without chucking the whole assembly. I'm not a fan of the form factor. If I could get get a 10440 mod with all those features (and preferably VW), I'd be much happier. I like the feel of the Twist in my hand and it's very sleek looking.

Another benefit with the inexpensive Twists is I have three with three different flavors going. I don't have to constantly change out my clearos to switch up. I could buy three Provaris I suppose, but that is a fair amount of money. With the Twists, I have an eGo case that is about the size of a glasses cases and holds the three twists, three Mini Vivis or other slim clearos, and the usb charger. I have a long commute and I can have all three each with a different flavor in the cup holder of my car. I can't see carting three Provaris around like that.

I feel ya, I got a twist when I found one on sale. I was loving it until it rolled off my end table onto a rug and it never fired again. I couldnt believe it! Cheap Chinese... grumble grumble... Anyway, many have given great suggestions and I'll just tip my hat to a REO, they are built to last, Ive dropped it countless times and it always works 100% (I'm saving for a VV Grand myself)

I have a lambo 4.0 and i love it. Its very cheap, even as a kit, and feels very solid and sturdy. Also someone on this forum has beat the hell out of theirs just to see if it could take it...and it has. Goodluck to you, out with the cigs and keep on vapin!!!

My Twist also broke. I dropped it and now the button is stuck and can't fire. Blah...i just got used to the worm vape and now the thing is broke. I was thinking on ordering something more durable anyway...

everything can break. my lt just broke from careless use and a series of stupid mistakes. there are a lot of quirks and little things that you will need to pick up, learn, and remember, if you want your PVs and APVs and mods to last a long time. Like, don't fill your cartos on the mod, especially if the carto is acting up, or clogged.. because it may release and when it does, boom, the insides of your mod are soaked. Or, you need to remember that there are different sized cartos and each size has a different temperment, ie: how many drips to fill it, how much you can softy blow into it to tamp the juice down toward the atomizer coils, etc etc etc etc... I'm learning that there are a lot of quirks one can pick up and learn to keep a mod running smoothly for many years. I've had my lt for going on 2 years and it was my main PV up until last week so, a lot of learning experiences on that PV

I have a super-t P18 and i've never bought another ecig that i couldn't swap the battery out. all mechanical. I have dropped it MANY times on concrete and it doesn't even ding.

my last ecig batteries that i purchased were 2 Riva 901 kits that bit the dust pretty fast with sticky buttons, no charge, charge but not contact, blah blah. Get a mechanical single battery mod and you shouldn't be able to kill it. at the most if you drop it a wire will come loose, but someone can fix it for you.

i just ordered a young june 2.0 chrome for cheap, but only because the AW 3.0 batteries that i've been getting to stack in my P18 for higher voltage aren't reliable, because they don't properly drain as a pair = dangerous.

there is a Bolt that i believe is mechanical for about $40. Bolt - 3.7v Mod - Gun Metal it has an extension sleeve for $6.99 to use an 18650 battery in it also Bolt - extender - Black

i know the feeling of starting out with cig looking ecigs and it's throwing $ down the drain. Sorry it made you go back to smoking, but if you get something reliable, you won't have to worry about anything but juice and atomizers for awhile. if you're handy you can even get a rebuildable atomizer dirt cheap and the supplies to rebuild are cheap. then you just deal with juice.

ps whatever you buy, don't bother to buy a kit if you can. get the charger and batteries separate. most kits have such inferior chargers and batteries that they are not worth it. Panasonic makes good reliable batteries (3.7's) and trustfire makes some good multichargers for about $15 or less.

I've only.been vaping for three weeks, and my twist was freaking out the first night. I git a replacement, but it did the same thing...button sticking etc. I'm in the same boat.

With the exception of my 5v Woo... from Smok, I have HORRIBLE luck with tube mods. So I was making the jump to VV this holiday season (never saw a reason to before but figured why not) and I was stuck with the decision between a Zmax and a iTaste MVP. With my luck with tube mods, I decided to go with the iTaste MVP. Just got it in and I am SOOOOOO glad I did. This thing is an armored tank! I dont see this thing breaking any time soon, and I like that its boxy. Thing is, its no where near as big as I expected. Only about same height and depth as an ego 1000mah (maybe even a little shorter) and about twice the width. Fits very nicely in the hand and looks a treat. If anyone has the same trouble i do with tube mods or tube shaped PVs in general I would highly recommend the iTaste MVP. Just my 2cents.

I have a Vision Spinner and have had no issues. I have a nasty habit of leaving things in my lap, and when I get out of my truck, there it goes. Has happened plenty, still kickin. I dont know what to tell you. I love the eGo style batteries, and I love the fact they have VV versions now, I dont have to worry about LCD, LED screens, whatever. Just spin to the voltage I need and I am good to go, no fiddling with buttons or menus. I really enjoy the Spinner, it has taken a beating and it still working great. I would give it a shot over the Twists before you give up.
