I've been using 32g kanthal on my dripping RBAs since I started. I've recently started trying 30g with some success but more frustrations. I know it takes more watts on 30g, but I was surprised how much more. My normal 8 watts wouldn't cut it, around 11 things start getting better. I'm looking to get my coil as responsive as possible so I don't have to hold the button before vaping while using my VAMO.

My first coil was 1.1 ohm, .1 ohm too low for my VAMO. So I decided to take it for a spin on my ego Twist (dumb, I know) and it was amazing.. until it killed the Twist. So next coil I got at 1.3 ohm to use on my VAMO. With one battery, the most it can deliver I think is 11 watts, possibly less with that low ohm. The vape was OK, not as responsive though and battery drained quick. I think just a couple more watts will help, so if I (safely) stack 18350s I should be able to hit 13-15 watts?

I'm trying a 1.6 ohm now, and it's a little better than the 1.3, but I could use a couple more watts than I'm getting. I wish I knew how much watts my VAMO was actually pushing with different ohms.

So basically I'm asking, when I receive my new batts so I can stack, will that allow me to push up to 15 watts with these coils? Will that be enough with my 30g kanthal to make it more responsive? And most important to me, how many ohms are you guys making 30g coils using just one battery in a VAMO or a device with similar restrictions?

I use 30ga on #500 SS mesh in an AGA-T2. A 5 wrap gives me ~1.6Ω. Using a CGR18650 Panny... 10W is good for most fruit juices. With some bakery flavors I need higher wattage & I think it maxes out @ ~12W.

Thanks, that reminds me I need to look into the Panny to see if gives better performance. Putting a fresh battery in I was pretty happy with the 1.6 ohm at 10 watts. I mostly vape NETs, and the sweet spot varies quite a bit as some are fruit tobaccos, some subtle, and some strong tobacco. It was usually in the 7 to 9 watt range with 32g.

Anyways, the Efest 18350 battery was doing good at 10 watts but just an hour later it's already down to 3.9 volts and the watts are starting to suffer. With the thinner wire at higher ohm I could get down to 3.6 before needing a new battery. Even my 18650 drops down much quicker running these higher amps. Really hoping stacking 18350s will improve battery life, or maybe the Panny will hold up for longer.
