i see a lot of post about ohms jumping up on peoples RBAs. but mine drop on me. i check with the meter im at 1.6 ohms and this is checking from the top on the screws. but then when i put on my vamo i get the LOW OHMS ERROR and it shows .8-1. i let set for a min and check ohms again on the vamo and im back at 1.5-1.6 then drops in a few seconds.

not really sure whats the fix for this. if some one could chime in i would appreciate it.

im using a AGAT2 500ss solid wick with 30g kenthal on my VAMO or SB.

If your ohm reading jumps around you either have a short or bad connection. It doesnt matter which type of mod you use.

that's what I always have said in the past, and is usually always the case, but believe me I have seen this issue quite a few times before, and it has, in the past, in some cases had something to do with the mod itself.

Could the OP test this by checking a carto or pre-built head?

If it isn't the mod, it sounds like the coil is shorting on the mesh. Good luck!

good idea on the pre built cart. like I said before, I don't own a vamo, but there has been a few times where this issue has been posted. I remember chimming in with the response, "it has to be a loose connection or short". when following up on the issue, out of curiosity after a few days, I seen that it was corrected by something that didn't seem to have anything to do with it, a couple months later the same thing happened to someone else with the same device.

i stuck a carto on there last night and checked the ohms over and over and it stayed the same. so it must be something on the AGAT. i went over all the connections on it and it all seems tight other than when i try to tighten the bottom thumb screw on the post the whole post spins with it. should i try to crank this down more? i was afraid of messing up the threading.

Then, it's not your connections. It's a short on your wick, most likely either where it contacts the wick hole or the bottom of the tank.

Keep the wick off the bottom and make sure it is well oxidized where it contacts the wick hole.
