A little over a year ago I gave up on fiddling with my phoenix rba (using ss, cheesecloth, cotton, etc on a Provari) and switched to Empire 306 and 901p's for convenience. When I first tried them I was blown away at how good the flavor was over my prior rba experience. The only problem is that at $5.99+ a pop, it really adds up over time.
Sooo, here I am, about to step back into the rba world so I can save some money and hopefully get the same, if not better, flavor from an RBA. I've got a Trident clone on the way and purchased some 2mm ekowool as well.
Long story short, to all you previous 901/306 atty users, have you been able to still get that same great flavor from your RBA? I guess I'm looking for more peace of mind than anything that I won't be wasting my time trying to attain the unattainable.
