Never done anything like this before but since eliquid is soooo expensive I saw on one of the websites that they are selling already mixed non flavored 75%pg 25%vg bottles with 6mg nicotine (I normally vape 6mg nic at 60 pg 40vg) -- so my question is can I just add a few drops of flavor to it (i.e. coffee or chocolate) and would it then be the same as the ready made flavored eliquid? If yes, how many drops of flavoring to add to it? They also offer 50% pg 50% vg in the 6mg nicotine -- would I be better off with this if I'm adding more drops of flavor to it? Really appreciate any input you can give me

Adding flavoring will decrease the nic %. Flavoring is added anywhere from 3% to 20% typically, depending on the flavor.
In short, yes you can just add flavor drops, but I would do it in small percentages and in small quantities just in case you don't like the flavor and so you don't add too much at first.

Increase flavoring in small steps. A newly mixed bottle of juice will taste better after 1 week than it will freshly mixed, and will typically taste stronger when freshly mixed than after steeping time.

For truly small scale tinkering:
1 drop of flavor to 19 drops of nic juice is 5% flavor and your nic will drop to 5.7mg.
2 drop of flavor to 23 drops of nic juice is 8% flavor and your nic will drop to 5.52mg.
2 drops of flavor to 18 drops of nic juice is 10% flavor and your nic will drop to 5.4mg.
3 drops of flavor to 23 drops of nic juice is 12% flavor and your nic will drop to 5.28mg.
3 drops of flavor to 17 drops of nic juice is 15% flavor and your nic will drop to 5.1mg.
Work out what ever ratio you need to step up your flavor %.

Keep in mind it will not taste as good fresh as it will steeped, and anything that you use in order to test vape it will throw off your recipe in the case you want to adjust the remaining portion. Take notes. Use up your experiments if they are vapable, or mix a low flaor and high flavor left over to make it better.

It is awesome that we can flavor our own juice for 6¢ a mil instead of buying it premixed for 50¢ - $1 a mil.

Forgive my ignorance, but can't I just add a few drops to the full bottle of 30ml of the premixed bottle that the website is offering? I would like to make this process as simple as possible -- I want to just add the flavoring to the existing bottle of 30ml so how many drops of flavoring would I need to add to this 30 ml bottle -- I don't mind the nicotine going down but would still like to have at least 3mg of nicotine at least? Or let's say I get a 30ml bottle with 11mg nicotine would it then work out with the flavoring and then getting it as close as possible to 6mg nicotine. Thanks for your input it is really appreciated.

The final nicotine content = ml_with_nicotine x mg/ml / total_ml

Say you have 6 mg/ml. If you add 1 ml of flavoring per 4 ml of nicotine liquid, then the resulting eliquid will be 4 ml x 6mg/ml /(1 ml + 4 ml)
= 24/5 = just under 5 mg/ml. This would be 20% total flavoring, at the high end of flavoring %.

The above would mean you add a total of 7.5ml of flavoring to 30 ml of starting unflavored eliquid.

Flavoring strength varies a lot, I would start with maybe 2 ml added, shake it a lot, test vape it, then add in 1 ml increments until you get what you want for flavor.

Picking flavorings is important, some things aren't so good to vape, others are okay but hard to get to mix well. Take a look at some of the stickeys here: DIY E-Liquid

A few of them discuss what flavorings work well.

Good luck!

Yes you can add drops to a 30 mil bottle, I was just pointing out that you may want to test flavors in smaller quantities first so you don't ruin the less expensive non-flavored bottle and end up paying more for your juice in the process. Those were just examples to get your feet wet. Flavor the whole bottle at your own risk. You may love it you may hate it.
I tweak flavored nic juice that is meh with a few drops similar to what you are doing with non flavored stuff..

If you do anything other than mix small measured quantities of flavoring accurately to your base nic fluid and keep careful records, you are making a mistake. You might get something nice by flavoring the whole bottle of nic base, but more likely not. If it were that simple, you would have absolutely no ejuice vendors.
Oh, and trying this approach with chocolate or coffee (along with tobacco, the most difficult flavorings) is not wise.
If you are going to try this approach, do it with Menthol

I suggest Capella flavoring to beginners. It is verry forgiving (add to much, or to little) and still produces good flavor. Capellas also taste good with individual flavors. Mixing different flavors is great, but for simple mixing, this is a good way to go. Highly recommend vanilla custard. Seems almost everyone can vape it on its own.

Yes I've read a lot of good recommendations on this one and I will try it. Thanks everyone.
