I'm no expert, but the nipples on those batteries seem kind of short. I would definitely try the AWs when they come in.

The lovely lady knows her nipples. ;)

Provape recommends only genuine AW brand imr nipple-topped batteries. Why do people insist on using something different?

my issue with messing with the battery is i don't want to mess them up as I am 99% sure I have a buddy in town that would buy them for his lavatube/lambo. And since I have another Provari with 2 AW IMR's coming, I might as well use this as a life lesson to test my patience, something I have never been good with.

The nipples do have room underneath to stick a small metal object under them and possibly pry them up, would that be safe and would that do the trick you think? i will take a side shot to show you how low these nipples stick out. IMG_1418.jpgIMG_1419.jpg

Essentially they are flat tops from what it looks like (agree? disagree?)

Well I wasnt gonna say anything about Provape recomending only AW batteries cause I've seen the Pan vs AW threads.
And although I could have came up with all kinds of nipple remarks I managed to contain my thoughts !

It was really hard to do !

At the risk of a used $10-$12 battery I know I woulda already been pry'n on that sucker if I had a Provari just to look at for 3-4 dayz

I may try to pry the top of one of them if that would fix my problems. I just can't figure out a safe way to pry the center of the nipple upward without possibly ripping the nipple off. any ideas? i can fit something small under the nipple there are 3 slots around it that allow something slim(ish) to fit under there.

oh and the batteries are brand new. they were used for 5 hours in a Vamo I had that i just sold.

i used an old stickpin amd just pried it up a touch, i was surprised as it didnt take as much as i thought it would bent the crap out of the pin though lol.
i just put a small crease in it didnt even go across the whole nipple. i thought for sure i would pop the top off, but i felt same way- i have 4 of them, so one trashed used 9 dollar battery wasnt going to break my heart and i wasnt going to stare at my new provari for a week while using a vamo while i waited either.

Although there's nuttin worse then rippin a nipple off I would give it a try, just go around to each slot and gently pry up on the center with somptin. Nail file, tweezers, tiny screw driver, hey ya got a soldering iron?
It's just a battery, your ticker or counter sez you've saved $3,103.89 not smokin !
You have more will power then I do, I've vaped 3 ml's just wating on you to try and fix it !

From ProVari's website:

ProVari Mini Variable Voltage Ecig: Best Variable Voltage E Cig Available!

ONLY use the recommended AW IMR high drain batteries in your ProVari variable voltage ecig!

We recommend only using AW IMR high drain batteries in your ProVari Mini

I'm curious why you are using Panasonics, when ProVari explicitly states to use AW IMR high drain batteries?

I think if you will read the first post you will note that the OP bought this ProVari used and is just trying to get it to work.

It is definitely the batteries. The Provari does need the nipple top batteries. I have used the battery you have with an earth magnet spacer on top and it works. But Provari does not recommend that.

The reason they recommend the specific AW battery is that it fits the size spec for the Provari. I also have the Panasonic nipple top battery and that works also. The flat tops won't work without the earth magnet spacer. Provape does not recommend them because if the spacer comes loose it can short.

Oh, the woes of little nipples.

And..

OUCH!

Where are you from? Maybe there's a local vendor you can buy a couple AWs from that might beat the ProVari package to you? I checked google and couldn't find a local (to me) retailer that carried them, and no luck on Amazon (fast shipping).
