Hi there. I am a new e-cig user.
A little background, I have been smoking for over 30 years and like many of us have tried pretty much every stop smoking device/method out there, but between my weak willpower and the extreme addiction to those darn cancer sticks I kept going back.

I learned more about the e-cigs last week and found this forum. Did a fair amount of reading and told my wife (who is also a smoker) it is time to try this thing.
So on Saturday (Sep 24) I ordered my Joye 510-T starter kit.
I was amazed to see the package arrive the next Monday. I immediately opened and assembled my first e-cig and started to vape the 24mg MLB-2 juice that I ordered with it.

We still had half a carton of sigs in the house, but I decided to take my 510-T to work and only smoke it during the day then when I came home I would sneak in a few analogs.
Did this until last Sunday untill the sigs were all gone.
I now have not touched any analogs since then.......

One problem I have found is that I am getting pretty tired of replacing batteries on my 510 every couple of hours as I am puffing on this thing pretty much all the time, so I decided to order me a Joye ego with 2ml tanks and a 650mah battery, in the hopes that will help that issue.
I should receive that unit tomorrow.

All in all I am very happy I have come this far and hope to continue this endavour, and I even convinced my wife to do the same so we are now both puffing the e-sig:vapor:

Good for you! Enjoy the eGo and keep it up. I did analogs for 38 years, 2 PAD. Can't stand 'em now. I did have to go to higher voltages though. 093011_1317[00].jpg

You can do it!! Congratulations so far!

A lot of people have trouble with tanks if you do, just switch to using cartomizers or atomizers with a drip tip(whichever you prefer). I'm planning next week to get 2, 1100 e-Go T batteries that can work for me without the tank. 650MAH e-go batteries should last about 7-8 hours or 5-7 with a LR atomizer as using a LR part will drain the battery faster. I am not sure how long the 1100MAH battery will last but it should be considerably longer a good 12-16 hours I would hope compared to 650MAH. 510 atomizers and cartomizers should work with your eGo T if you have trouble with the tank system. I hope the tank system works out for you!

Day 3, often referred to as "The Hump". You can get though it. Vape, vape, and vape some more! A higher nic level can really help big time, at least 24mg getting though the first week's cravings. Remind yourself that the craving you are having is not for nicotine. Think about how beneficial it is to get off of all that extra crap in smokes!! You don't want to be addicted to that stuff!! In no time you'll be feeling great, accomplished, proud of yourself and unable to stop telling random people you quit smoking :) Happy Vaping! Snuggle with the wife when it gets rough!

I must say, that kicking the cigarette habit by using an e-cig would not be the same without this forum.
You guys are incredible with responses and advise. THANK YOU.

I hope the 'hump' between 3-5 days will pass without any problems.

Is there such a thing as vaping too much? I mean I must admit that I am constantly puffing this thing
and a little afraid that I am now going to be extremely addicted to vaping, or is this fairly normal during the first few days/weeks of trying to kick the analogs?

Way to go! Keep it up just stick with it it gets easier as your body adjusts. Go easy on yourself I think your doing great it just takes time especially considering how long you did smoke. Hope you like you eGo thats what I have and I really love it. I puffed on mine almost constantly the first few days and if thats what it takes to help you through the adjustment its still soooooo much better than smoking so I wouldn't worry about it too much I have slowed down considerably now and am going on 2 weeks now smoke free. What are you mg strength are you vaping? If your not on a very high mg strength you could always consider uping the nicotine so you dont have to vape as often :)

If you're doing this well after 36 hours, then any 'hump' should be small. In my case, smooth sailing thus far!

As to chain vaping, been doing it since I started near six months ago. I smoked 2 PaD for over 45 years, so even chain vaping is a blessing! Some folk taper off, but I see no issues unless you do happen to react with the nicquid. In that case, the ECF will steer ya true.

Happy vaping and good luck!

Yes! You can vape too much. Nicotine overdose is a reality, but usually your body will tell you enough is enough. Especially when new, it is not at all uncommon to vape quite a bit more than you will after a bit of time.

I am currently on 24 mg, which I think is about as high as I want to go.
Today has been actually better than yesterday. Yesterday I ran out of batteries at work.
At the end of the day I ran home to find my wife had just completed a charge on a fresh battery..... saved the day.

Can't wait for tomorrow when I will receive my ego and larger battery.

Thank you again for all the encouragement, it is much appreciated.

I probably vape more than I smoked, and I don't care! This is way better for you.
