However, comparing a Kayfun to a dripper is completely different. The idea of a dripper is dumping *fresh* juice on the coil. The Kayfun has two factors that heavily boost flavor, and that is the compressed chamber and the bottom airhole which tends to give better flavor as air goes all around the coil. (Yes, the drip tip helps too but you can use it anywhere). Here's my only issue with a Kayfun vs drippers:With rebuildables it really comes down to coil build quality, provided your rba's are both using the same materials when built. Granted, they both are of high grade materials and I would expect them to both have the same output, as far as vaper quality and flavor.
Kayfuns work with a vacuum system. As you draw, juice goes in the chamber, and then back out. You take a hard drag, too much juice gets in, reaches the airhole and leaks, too soft of a drag you won't get juice to your wicks. The issue here, as in every tank, is that fresh juice is getting mixed with pre-heated juice (as in the juice that gets in the chamber, touches your wick/coil, and excess goes back out) Pretty easy to see since by the time I'm half way done through the tank, the liquid has already changed colors. There's nothing more delicious IMHO than dripping fresh juice on a coil and vaping off it. Ever tried the IGO-S? It's roughly comparable to the size of the Kayfun's chimney, and flavor is on par/better.
When I tried some Five Pawn's Grandmaster on both my Kayfun and 3D, I was getting a much cleaner, pronounced flavor on the 3D. However it's worth mentioning that in RDAs like the 3D you can make virtually endless coil setups, dual/triple/quad coils, etc. You can't do that on the Kayfun, you are restricted by size, design and airhole position (Made my first dual coil in a Kayfun, positioned the coils to the sides as opposed to over the airhole, throat hit was harsh and vapor production was crap). Well, to each their own, although in terms of RBAs, nothing beats the flavor that a Kayfun provides IMHO.
