I have Access to a 3D Printer.

A Great Tool for doing Prototyping. Or to show "Proof of Concept" to a Customer for a buy Out. But the Draw back to the One I have used is that it Prints using ABS Plastic.

So yeah... You can make so Very Cool Stuff. But if you Drop what you Printed on a Hard Surface, there is a Good Chance that it Might Break Break.

ABS has Very Little "Give" or Flex.

I just saw an enclosure for a mod that was made using 3d printing. They is calling it vapor Droid or something.

My question is has anyone used a 3D printing service like I.materialize. com, which is what he used.

OMG... I just went to that site, dude its like over $160 for the pieces.... check out shapeways. I've never ordered anything but plenty other have. Search up dna20 or dna30, you'll find tons of stuff from mamu, bapgood and jonniemac (and I'm sure others) and I guarantee you'll get out for less than $160.... unless your just in love with that design?

everything from plastic to titanium. If use use a shop like shape ways it may help. You and also base a 3D Copy service so instead of a computer design just provide a sample and get quotes. Staples will soon offer both services. A small home D printer is under a thousand dollars and fine for box mods and cylinders.
