Evening,folks 2 frigid degrees tonight and dropping.

Met someone tonight at practice. The flute player's son is back home after a stint in state prison for DWI manslaughter. The passenger in the car he was driving died in an accident.

I had just joined this band when he was sentenced and never met him. But the flute player and I had talked about him and offered our prayers for him and his friends family. Tragic, as he was 17 when it happened.

Nice kid who made a bad decision.

I'm very fortunate that after my many bad decisions I'm still here. There but for the Grace of God go I.

Nice. Got up early and ran around town doing errands, groceries. Got back home, and it started snowing 15 minutes later.

Got a nice cut of pork .... roast. Gonna roast that bad boy up for tonight's dining pleasure. I love the rind! Maybe some cubed potatoes in a white cream sauce, green beans. And a merlot to slosh it all down.

So, this black Calico isn't bad at all. Halo does do tobaccos really well.
