Well I tried. De-iced the Volvo and was on my way to the church. But they closed the road with a long hill. To go around would have cost me 15 minutes. So they didn't have their bass player today.
My driveway is thick ice with water on top. Unless you are Tara Lipinski or Ilya Kovalchuk, you ain't goin nowhere.
But temps are climbing and we are expecting mondo rain. Thank God for the temp. This would be two feet of snow easy.

Sounds rough Dave. All that rain should melt the ice soon. Another dreary day......sigh
Covered with Jim Beam in a rocks glass, or in a Margarita, no problem.
But inch thick on the driveway, not so much. I'm off to play at the 5:30. Things have improved on the roads, as long as I can skate outta the driveway.
OK, that was fun. While driving, the roads still has some ice/slush off the wheel tracks. Got to the big downhill S, and cars were stopped, a few sideways. It seems the road got too "crispy", ok, icy. I had to get out and walk back to tell the lady behind me to back up and turn around so I could do the same. And even that part of the road was icing up. No question that I made a wise decision to abort.
Don't feel too bad for me missing Mass this week. It's #2,438 on the list of why I'm goin to Hell.

My dear DIL is positively pre-orgasmic right now. She's a Tom Brady fan, ok, maniac.....I gotta go with the Pats this time too. Last year the Broncos were just PITIFUL!
