Wife got home from work and said.."it that supposed to be on?"

I looked over at the counter she pointed at and there was my 401 with a manual button and the light was on.

I said "no" and quickly grabbed it and the cart slid off and I could see vapor coming off the atty....I quickly unscrewed the atty, which was piping hot and tried to get the battery to "turn off"

This happened before but the button was crooked and I "unstuck" it.

This time the button presses down and makes a "click" like normal but the battery doesnt shut off. The light is still on as it sits on the counter behind me.

I tried putting it into the charger which did no good.

Has this happened to anyone else? Is this battery toast? Its worked great for me for awhile now (bout 2 months)

Any ideas?

i find it really strange that in the last few weeks more and more manual batteries semem to do this, i heard of at least 4 510 owners in a short timeframe (2-3 weeks) in germany.

family and me have at least 12 manual joye510 in use, and never they did this
for me it looks like its coming from some no-joye devices.

i have a new KR808d-1 that does the same from time to time.
on that one i know its build by Kanger, and since only a short time they now have 510.

coincidence ?
stuck auto batteries are more or less common, but stuck manual switches ? on relatively new devices is new imho.
