410 passthru question

i cant get my 401 passthru to work with the usb ac adapter. i was wondering if anyone else has had this problem? my 510 PT works fine with the usb/ac adapter (i think). its hard to tell because it has its own battery.

any insight on this would be greatly appreciated.

I know some of my usb ports on one monitor aren't active. If you're on a wall plug or car plug, some of those are just for charging and they aren't rated high enough to run a passthrough - you need one rated at least 1amp output for that. But the lower amped ones will run the PT, just not as well as the 1amp so, if it's not working at all then it's either defective or the battery is dead (or the port is dead - did you try running it off the same port as the 510 that is working? if not give that a try and report back.

i think my usb ac adapter isnt meant to run passthroughs. i will look around for something that pushes out more than 1 amp.

everything is working fine when hooked up to the computer.

Ah that's likely the problem. I had a cheap wall plug to start. But then got these:

They're both 'dual usb' and the wall plug each outlet is rated 1amp. On the car charger one output is 1 amp the other is .5 amps. So you can use the 'quick charge' for that usb charger than innovapor has to charge a battery and the other for the passthrough.

Since then I found more less expensive ones:

Only thing is I'm not sure if these are 1amp each or 1amp total. I don't have one but plan on emailing them to check. Or just buying one - they're still good for charging at .5A

This (above) has the 1amp car charger but the wall plug in .5.

Then I found this thing. lol:

So if you get the 1amp carcharger above you can then use it in the wall as well!

Again, I have the top ones listed not the others so this is just from googling not from experience but the price is right.
