I have a USB connection in my car and they sell Auto-USB power adapters for cars that don't.

I was wondering how many people have used their passthru cable while driving?

Yup.

My passthrough has a 380 mHa battery... so at the desk it's constantly charging and in the car it never runs out.

I'll be using an Ego later in the week so the need for a passthrough has been lowered a bit and it will be relegated to "only at my desk".

I used to. Since I got my Ego I don't need to any more. I was always getting the cord tangled on my gear shift anyways. The only benefit I found was when I dropped it I could retrieve it easier by just pulling on the cord. Now my PT is a backup at home if I happen to run out of battery power. That cord was always getting in my way.

I'm thinking I would. I'm considering purchasing a second passthrough and keeping it in the car.

The only downside is that it will look like you are smoking a hooka.

I always worry about the cops... so I *tend* to stay with cigarette looking PVs for car use. But on the highway- I'm all 510.

Only problem w/ an AUTO PT is that they are sound activated, and can run continuously.
Had an auyto bat do that and drained completely in a couple minutes. Manual is better for the car.
Thanks for the heads-up. I'll make sure it's a manual.

As to any concerns about law enforcement thinking you're using something else, it's always a good idea to keep an e-cig "fact sheet" that some vendors print on the rear of their business cards. If you haven't run across one that does yet, PM me and I'll give you the names of a couple.
I can't PM due to my post count but I would like to know more about the fact sheet.

I don't have time to get pulled over for no reason. Also, I've heard of one case when someone's equipment was confiscated; I can't afford that.
I hear ya audio. I hope whoever had their equipment confiscated reported it as stolen. A cop can't just take your property, that's theft. Ignorance is not an excuse.
