Not that it clears up the mystery or anything, but I wonder if you manually put in an asterix and then earn one, if you will then have two?

Well I woke up this morning with buoyed spirits, thinking of the glorious asterisk I would find sitting next to my ECF username thanks to all the Phyllis Diller-worshipping mods. But alas, I logged in only to find the same blinding white nothingness sitting shotgun to my name. 
I won't let this deter me though, and in this spirit I will now make my second attempt at Asteriskdom.

I got tattoos of asterisks on all of my chakras and sacrificed a goat and still nothin'.
Mine showed up out of the blue...no rhyme nor reason. Well...I'm sure there was a reason...but there was definitely no rhyme. I checked. Twice.

I did run a background check on Dougiestyle.. they were guilty of sporting 80's dance moves at a rave 2 years ago and wearing a fanny pack. Not very helpful info.
You think anyone is going to give you an asterisk when you're making culinary demands every time you pop into a thread?
Maybe it's a cleverly disguised hit list. And maybe multiples mean it will be a drawn out, torturous process.
