the answer would be 2 if it was 48/(2(9+3))
its 48/2(9+3) . which makes it 24(12) .. If the its 48/(2(9+3)) it is indeed 2 ...

Interesting... Well everyone here gets it I wonder why it is really even a post anywhere, this is 3rd grade math at best. But hey its nice to know everyone here is intelligent at least.
The answer is 288. Rules of Order in algebra; 1) work the parentheses first 2) work multipication and/or division as it appears Left to right.
48÷2(9+3) = 24*12=288
