Hey I got a question about my 4nine mod I have two magnets and sometimes the connection between the battery and atty is iffy is it safe to place the magnet I'm not using in between the battery and atty to create a better contact?

I'm confused, in the 4nine aren't you supposed to use both magnets to start? e.g., you stick one on the bottom of the battery, and flip the one so it repels against the one on the battery and put it in the bottom. When you press up and create a connection and then let go, it's that repulsion that pushes the bottom away from the battery and ends the connection.

Ahhhh, so you've got 3 magnets. :) I've heard a bunch of the 4nine clones have serious issues with either spacing or cheap magnets or such, but the 4nine can have problems with shorter 510 connections in general. Normally you can put a magnet on the positive side of the battery if you're having spacing issues, but to be frank I don't know the full quirks of that clone issue to point you in the right direction. Maybe this'll bump it and someone with more knowledge'll see it.

I will warn you that if you are using an atty without an extended 510 on those things can get weird real fast causing shorts & lots of heat, so be careful.

i have 4nine from FT. it says 1:1, but it's not exactly. i use flat top battery in it. at first, i didn't use that 3rd magnet and the throw was very long. since then, i put the 3rd magnet on the top of the battery on positive side and it's working amazingly well. i haven't tried tobh on it yet. but tobh has shorter 510 then magma and stillare v3. right now i have magma on it and with 4nine, it works like a charm.

Very stranger. I have a 4nine clone that works great. I have the two magnets on the bottom, one connected to the negative side of the battery. The problem I encountered was with with the hybrid connector. Depending on the atty it can be tough for the battery to make contact. I had to adjust the pin on my kayfun to get it down a bit further to make proper contact. My TOBH clone works fine with it though.

It is best whenever possible to NOT use an extra magnet. Magnets are often coated ant the coating can be counter productive.

Not knowing Your version oft the 4Nine I cannot comment on actual quality of components and final outcome. Some simply use a plastic(Delrin) piece and imbedded magnet. Others have an actual contact ring with the Magnet recessed inside.(mine is like this)
