Started out with a 510. After a couple days of being a general idiot (and adjusting to vaping, which is not smoking from what I hear...:p) I've finally figured most everything out, and I must say that my analog days are numbered. Not quite ready to give them up, but I've only been smoking 2-4 per day as opposed to 15-20.

Side note: calling normal cigarettes "analogs" is brilliant. Gold star for whoever came up with that.

Glad to see that there's a very tightknit community for this phenomenon. Always welcome when trying something new, especially with devices as seemingly finicky as these e-cigs.

Random question to round out introduction post: I'm interested in trying another model. The M401 intrigues me. However, the Joye 306 seems to be a good choice considering that I already have 510 parts that will work with it. I haven't seen very many reviews or judgements on the 306's performance. Has anyone used both the M401 and the 306? Is one definitively better than the other? Thanks in advance!

If you like to be frustrated, then by all means get an auto switch device like the ones you are looking at. I would suggest you consider the Prodigy as you can use the 510, 901 or 801 atomizers with it. You are vaping with 5 volts, giving better throat hit, much more consistent and battery time of 4-5 hours on a charge as well as the batteries cost $2.90 instead of $14-$20.

Ah yes; one of my work buddies got one that's an auto and he hates it. I have no problems using the manual switch, so I'll stick with that. I'll check out the Prodigy for sure.

Are there any "mini" models like the 401/306 that are manual though? I've read that the 510 is one of the heavier throat-hitters, and I'd like to have something that hits less, just to see if I like it better for whatever reason. I don't necessarily have a problem with the 510's throat hit now, but I won't know what I like until I try it, y'know?

I have a 510, wife has a M401.

I can say that her M401 is good, but doesn't do it for me. We were driving and had the air conditioning going. All of a sudden my fingers were burning! The auto battery was going steady due to the air conditioning so we couldn't vape until it cooled down.

I'm going to stick with manual batteries for now. I suspect most models will get that option soon.

Unless someone builds a much better auto switch battery PV, which I doubt, manuals will grow as autos shrink.
