5 orders from 5 companies so far, and I've never even tried an e-cig before!!

What part of Mexico are you in? My Mother Ex-Patted to Merida, Yucatan, Mx. And for some weird reason, she's convinced she can't get mail down there.

I have her birthday present being FedEx'ed down there, as we speak to finally shut her up about it.

Please keep this thread updated, as I'm curious how things go once the mail is turned over to Mexico's mail system.

Thanks. And yeah, that must be some kinda' record. :thumb:

I'm in West-Central Mexico, so the Yucatan is like an unknown, far-away place for me.

As for the mail system down here, I can assure your mother that the Mexican people do receive mail.:) For instance, my JC juice order arrived on business day ten, so USPS priority mail (6-10 days) seems to function alright.

I'll definitely keep everyone updated as my saga continues...

I know they do, I'm just trying to prove it to her. She grew up in the 50's and is not in the know with modern technology. I think I've taught her how to 'cut and paste' 5 or 6 times now. Last time I was there I wrote a cheat sheet. \OT

Thanks

UPDATE

This morning (April 9th), my LeCig order arrived. It was shipped on March 22nd, so (excluding Saturdays and Sundays) it took 15 business days to get here -- exactly three weeks. Mike told me it would take 2-3 weeks -- and he was right!

Of course, for those who've read the OP, you know that I still have never tried a PV -- my LeCig order was Greencig cartos only. I have JC juices, carto refill equipment, and a bunch of cartomizers; but no batteries or chargers... No vaping just yet.

Interestingly enough, my Vapor4life order, which was shipped on March 15th, either should have arrived alongside my LeCig order, or should perhaps arrive later today (though I doubt that - why would the mailman make two trips?). Valerie told me that the shipping time on my V4L order would be 2-4 weeks. Today is the final day of that 4-week period. I'm concerned, to say the least.

Another update:

My Diet Smokes order, which was placed on Monday night (April 5th), is still listed as "Awaiting Fulfillment" on the Diet Smokes website. Given that I paid a lot of money for the 1-3 day shipping option, I am fairly disappointed that, after three-and-a-half days, my order hasn't even been filled, let alone shipped.

On Wednesday night, I sent a message through the "contact us" function on the Diet Smokes website asking if it was normal for an order to take more than 48 hours to fulfill, or if perhaps there had been some item that I'd ordered which was out of stock (and I then suggested that we could replace any out-of-stock item with a different item of equal value).

A day-and-a-half later (it's about noon right now), I still have yet to receive a response to my query. This seems unusual, but perhaps Parked and friends are incredibly busy, and need 2 or 3 days to answer an email (and 4 or 5 days to fill and ship out an order). I don't know, and I think it's the not knowing that makes this so frustrating/disappointing.

EDIT: I just PM'd parked (of Diet Smokes fame), and he responded almost immediately, explaining:
Its going out today i needed help shipping this one and i got what i needed i have never sent anything to mexico before

so i wanted to make sure i had all the forms etc. on the package

you will have a tracking number later today

thanks

parked

Excellent! I just might get my diet smokes on Monday or Tuesday!

Yep...gotta be a record. Out of everything on that list, my guess is the 510 will end up being your favorite. It certainly is mine!

Sorry to hear it's taking so long. It is a wonderful world you're entering. A world of flavor. I truly hope it will be worth the wait for you.

In the meantime, If you are handy and a bit of a packrat you could head over to the modders forum and make a quick usb passthrough to vape on those cartomizers. It'd be high voltage though... The good news is that if you make the connector from an rca jack or coax cable they are modular, so you'd have a passthrough to use with just about anything.

I think my knowledge of MacGyver-style home manufacture of electronic goods is even more limited than your knowledge of Spanish (hey, your spelling's perfect!).

I think I'll just wait for my 510 carto kit from Diet Smokes to come. It should get here early next week.:)

Heheh...dunno man, it was pretty easy to macGyver up a passthrough for me. Used a computer power switch, an old usb cable from a printer I no longer have, some electrical tape, hot glue, an old tv coaxial cable, and some covered copper wire for rigidity.

...You'd be surprised what a person can accomplish to get their fix when they lack money for batteries...

also... mi conocimiento de electricidad es poco comparado a mi conocimiento de espanol..

UPDATE:

It's pretty unbelievable, but, for the second time, I've broken my own record.

Yes, I know that this is getting absolutely ridiculous, but you should've seen the kind of sale Vapornine was having today! 30mL bottles of juice for 5 bucks!!!!!!!

Anyways, I'm now up to seven. That's right; seven different orders from seven different companies, and I still have never tried an e-cig! I've never vaped, steamed, e-smoked, puffed the electrical dragon, whatever you want to call it.

This has seriously gotta be a record at this point.

Oh, and, this time; I swear I'm done. There will be no "number eight." (unless V4L magically offers Priority Int'l shipping in a medium flat-rate box during their Master18 discount event)

I swear I'm done.

I recently did a tally of my juice and cartomizer orders in order to respond to a thread whose creator believed he (or she?) was "out of control." Hoping to help put things in perspective, I decided to add up my mLs and cartos.

Juice: 875mL, plus six sampler-size bottles of JC Red Oak = 893mL

Cartomizers: 130 KR808, 30 510, 30 Greencig = 190 cartos

Assuming 1mL of juice per cartomizer, this adds up to 1.083 Liters of juice.

Sure wish I had a PV right now...

Sorry Steamin' E but I just broke your record :p
I made 8 orders from 7 different and still haven't taken my first vape.
1) Janty - ordered an eGo + atomizer

2) TastyVapor - ordered 3 types of juices w/ doublers
3) US Plastics - ordered a bunch of droppers
4) nHaler - made 2 orders. 1st for LR atomizers and a Delryn drip tip. 2nd for an aluminum anodized drip tip.
5) VaporNine - ordered Red Bull & Cherry juice
6) Cignot - ordered several empty cartridges
7) Dr Foster & Smith - ordered syringes & needles
I also won free Juice from VaporStation.

Now I'm just hoping that vaping is all what it's been made out to be. If not, you may see me posting in the classifieds in the not so distant future.

Well, I tip my cap to you. You've outdone me by 1 order; a drip-tip order. Hey, 2nd place in the history books ain't all that bad.:)

Nonetheless, I may, at least, still hold the record for diverse and substantial orders from e-smoking companies exclusively. While your order for "a bunch of droppers" from US Plastics certainly counts as a distinct order -- as does your order for "several empty cartridges" from Cignot or the syringes you bought from the veterinary supplier -- I feel that there's something uniquely insane about the sheer scale of my ordering history, which is really why this thread was created.

Keep in mind, among other things, I've ordered:
- 4 starter kits (2 shorty V4L kits, a Joye 510 w/ cartomizer kit, and a VaporLITES Classic kit)
- a grand total of 15 batteries (7 510s and 8 KR8s) and two attys
- an assortment of syringes, dropper bottles, cartridges, and tweezers
- 190 cartomizers, for crying out loud, ranging from KR8s to 510s to Greencigs
- 8 wall-mount and USB chargers, a car adapter/charger, along with two different PCCs
- over a liter of assorted PG and VG juices

In any case, congratulations are indeed warranted. You are now the record holder.:thumb:

UPDATE:

Well, as some of you may all ready know, my V4L order didn't arrive within the 2-4 week time window I was quoted. Since there is no tracking on this shipment, for all I know the package could be sitting in O'Hare Int'l, collecting dust.

Also, my Diet Smokes order (which was finally filled on Friday afternoon) was, without explanation/warning, changed from UPS Worldwide Express (1-3 days, almost $63!) to USPS Priority International (6-10 days). This was upsetting, given that I was expecting my order to arrive in 3 days, and now it'll likely take nearly two full weeks to get here.:( Also, given the fact that USPS Priority is much cheaper than UPS Worldwide Express, I would expect to be refunded a fair amount of money to reflect the difference in shipping cost. It turns out I was refunded some money by Diet Smokes:

$1.30

A one-dollar-and-thirty-cent refund seems like it must be a mistake. Last night I PM'd parked of Diet Smokes to ask about what's happening, but so far have received no response. He must not work on weekends, so I'll just wait until Monday.

Of course, I'll keep everybody up-to-date as my saga continues to unfold.

wow

well you made some great first choices, an ego+lr atty+drip tips (i use the stainless t-tips from super t) is what I happily use now, I wish I had started with this setup from the beginning and not gone through half a dozen different devices before arriving at this

Hey people of the forum.

I think I might've set some kind of record. I've made five separate orders from five separate companies -- all before even receiving my first PV! I've never tried vaping before, but I've spent a buttload of scrilla (loot [money]) on it already! My situation is so unusual largely because I live in Mexico, and things can take a while to make it down here.

First, I ordered a Red Oak Welcome to E-smoking kit and a Red Oak JC Trio from Johnson's Creek on 03/12. They shipped it USPS Priority International (6-10 business days, according to USPS).

Second, I discovered Vapor4Life, and promptly (on 03/13) ordered two auto shorty value kits, two extra auto shorty batts, 2 USB chargers, and 75 VG cartomizers (that's 15 boxes of 5). They shipped it USPS First Class International (2-4 weeks, according to Valerie).

Next, on 03/19, I ordered 30 Greencig cartomizers (six boxes of five) from LeCig after having learned about burning filler problems in regular cartomizers. LeCig shipped 'em out on the 22nd using USPS Express Mail International (EMS) Flat Rate Envelope (2-3 weeks, according to Mike).

Then, on April Fool's Day, I found a great deal on KR808D-1 PCCs at LiteCigUSA, so I ordered one. But, in my paranoia over the impossibly long wait for my V4L order (and also wanting to have some PG cartos and juices to try -- and mix with VG juices), I added some other things to my PCC order: a 5mL syringe, 5 empty 15mL juice dripper bottles, 2 manual KR808 batts, 20 PG cartomizers and 5 empty premium cartos, 20mL of VG liquid, and 60mL of PG liquid. It was shipped USPS Priority International (6-10 business days).

Finally, tonight (April 5th), I ordered some Joye 510 stuff from DietSmokes: one Xpress 510 Cartomizer Starter kit (2 batts, 2 chargers, 5 cartos), an extra auto batt, 25 cartomizers, and 75mL of LiquidXpress juice. It will be shipped out tomorrow (I'm assuming), via UPS Worldwide Express (1-3 business days, according to UPS).

EDIT: It's now six orders from six different companies. I ordered the Classic 510 kit from VaporLITES because it has that awesome PCC that fits two batts and a bunch of carts. The kit comes with a bunch of stuff, including: 2 Complete VaporLites (2 batteries, 2 atomizers), 1 USB Charger Stick, 1 Wall/Home Charger Adapter, 1 Car USB Adapter, 1 Charging Case (PCC), 3 (10 ML) Bottles of Cartridge Refill Liquid (Mango, Watermelon, 555), 10 Pre-filled Cartridges (RY4 Flavor, HIGH Strength), and 1 Gift Box & Instruction Sheet. I also got a couple extra batts. The only thing I don't know is what shipping method they'll use (but I think USPS Priority). I swear that's the last order I'm placing until I've actually gotten a chance to try vaping for the first time!

And that's it! Pretty crazy, huh?

The only order I've received is the first one I placed (w/ Johnson Creek), so
I don't have a PV, and I've never tried one before. My V4L order and my DietSmokes order should both have arrived by Friday afternoon at the latest, and I think that, after having waited for nearly a month, vaping that first cartomizer will be an absolutely surreal experience. I've heard over and over that the V4L VaporKing and the 510 are good models to start out with, so I am very optimistic.

So, what do you think; might I have broken some sort of record?
Yup you set a record all right, but not for acquiring stuff. I hope it is all compatible.
