The problem with high drain batteries is that they dont hold the capacity that a Li-ion 18650 could.

your looking at up to 1000mAh +/- less for the highdrain 18650's.

you MAY get a full days worth of vaping @ 5V, but that depends greatly on how much you vape.

I would carry a second battery (if the battery is removable) or add a USB charge port, if your worried about all day vaping.

I dont do 5V vaping, so i cant give you a rough idea of what you would need, but maybe someone can chime in that does. *edit* WillyB is in!

You need to provide details on how/what you are using to get 5V from a 3.7V battery and how much liquid you vape in 12 hrs.
I'll be using a 3ohm carto or a 1.5ohm DC tank. I vape about 3ml a day.

Carrying an extra battery isn't a problem. I just want to build a simple PV with a momentary push button switch for use with a 510 atty. No LED light.

I assume I won't need a regulator or anything else?

with your 1.5ohm DC, any would do really....
i would just get something like a Protected AW 18650. But this is my choice of branding. :)

Some say that they feel a difference with IMR batteries. Its been a while since I've used a DC carto on an unregulated mod, so i cant actually remember if the hit was any better.

either way, find yourself some type of way, of protecting your mod.
(2cent-fuse, Protected batteries, whatever)
DOA shorted cartos suck....

That would work, but battery life and having to buy a special charger for it , would suck.

But it is an option.

I'm just not a fan of not being able to balance charge a 4 stack of batteries...

*edit*
deleted... not a good idea.
It certainly wouldn't be my 1st battery of choice... But if 5 volts are required and a boost circuit isn't an option, it's an option worth taking a look at.

here is a 5v battery. rather expensive but I am going to get one and try it.
So if I use that, what would I use for a battery holder, or how else would I wire the positive and negative? The only mod scheme I familiar with is the puck. I have no experience working without a wired battery holder.
