Hey everyone! I haven't been on for a few weeks, I have had so much going on with life right now. Anyways, it has been 5 weeks since I threw away my last pack of cigarettes and started vaping. I haven't had a SINGLE relapse, not 1 drag off a single cigarette. In fact the smell of them on other people is just nasty now. I can't believe I used to smell like that! A lot has gone on for me, most of these things would have caused me to buy a pack of smokes, and don't get me wrong, it was extremely difficult not to go buy a pack, but I kept telling myself, that it isn't going to fix anything, and the only person I would be hurting is myself, and that it just isn't worth it, and I managed to get through some very tough times. My 10 yr old son's dog was let out of our backyard, and a few days of him being missing, I found him dead on the side of the highway. Then there has just been a lot of family drama between my immediate family and another family, and some drama with this family and my kids....it's definitely been a roller coaster of events for us. But I am glad to say that my husband and I have not broken down and purchased, bummed, or took a drag off a single cigarette in 5 weeks.

I found a juice vendor that I BEYOND LOVE lol, and so has my husband. We both have products that have worked extremely well for us, which we believe has made this whole process so much easier than the first time. I have even cut back my nic, and I don't chain vape as much as I used to. I am looking forward to eventually being nic free by September. Anyways, that's my news! Hope everyone else is hanging in there and doing well.

Congrats! :thumb:

It's been 3 months for me. I know what you mean about the smell. I am so glad I don't stink anymore! My sense of smell is a lot stronger now. Someone can be smoking in their vehicle in a parking lot and I smell it from a long distance away. I hate the smell. I walked into a store a few weeks ago and an employee told me I smelled like candy. :) (had been vaping diy Peaches and Cream)

Congrats to your husband as well :)

Thank you everyone! It hasn't been an easy feat for both the husband and I. The smell is just atrocious!! I could not believe I smelled like that, my truck smelled like that, and virtually anywhere or anything that we smoked around smelled like that lol. I thought my ex mother in law was CRAZY when saying that she needed to wash my kids' clothes when they were already clean. I just didn't understand how bad everything stunk.

My taste has come back as well. I like things I didn't like before, and I don't like some things that I liked before. I sleep better, breath better, and best of all......I have lost a total of 10 lbs. I used to live off of Mountain Dew, and once my taste came back, I found that soda in general tasted extremely nasty! I am just very thankful that I have been able to finally quit cigarettes all at once.
