For some time now I have been a fan of the 801 series attys. I prefer the 302 because when it has "good" airflow, I find MOST flavor from my juices over any other atty. I have not tried the 4072 yet but as some of you know, each of the 302, BE112 and 801 each have a different airflow design. 302 has the largest air-holes (2 of them) cut straight thru the threads. 801 has 4 tiny air-holes located behind the threads but inside the outer ring and BE112 is same design as 801 but only 2 tiny air-holes.
I found that vendors just list adapters with no info ABOUT the adapters. Oftentimes, vendors display generic photos - sometimes sending adapters that are not the ones pictured. So, I started looking more closely at these adapters to see a variety of design differences which significantly impact airflow. Below are my (so far) findings with pics to show. So far, adapter (1) is the best but I have no idea where I got it and have no clue how to find MORE!!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

From left to right:
(1) - 12mm with airholes at 801 threads (larger holes), larger positive terminal on 801 end, smaller positive terminal on 510 end (more air between pos & neg), larger center airhole on 510 end.
(2) - 12mm with no airholes at threads, larger positive terminal on 801 end, LARGER positive terminal on 510 end, smaller center airhole on 510 end
(3) - 15mm with airholes at 801 threads (larger holes), SMALLER positive terminal on 801 end (more air bet pos & neg),larger positive terminal on 510 end, smaller airhole on 510 end
(4) - 18mm with airholes at 801 threads (smaller holes and further apart), SMALLER positive terminal on 801 end (more air between pos & neg), larger positive terminal on 510 end, smaller airhole on 510 end
- black one just horrible altogether. Worst airflow of all. SUPER AIRY with 2 air holes on 510 threaded end. Too long, did not measure but guessing about 25mm.

(1) is best for 302 attys and not bad on 801 and BE112 on each device I have tried it.
(2) does not have enough airflow for any. Makes draw way too tight and overheats atty coils.
(3) is ok for 801 and BE112 (need to test more but a ittle more airy than (4) due to slightly larger air-holes at htreads. This one might have a bit less additional resistance than (4) due to being 3mm shorter).
(4) seems to work just fine with 801 and BE112 but a bit better with BE112. This one way too airy for 302.
As different connectors on mods have different air flow designs, I suspect it might be a matter of finding the best match for BOTH the atty and the device connector.
Native 801 connectors work best on 801 and BE112 but not all mods offer that option. Native 801 connectors are a bit too airy for 302 but not bad. I have some of the new "stealth" 510/801 adapters (only about 8mm long) on their way to me and look forward to trying those.
So, if anyone can provide more info, offer any advice and most of all - know where to find adapter (1) - I would appreciate your assistance and this might be helpful and informational for other 801 users as well.
