51 - New User

Hi, all...I've been smoking for about 40 years, and ran into the "51" at a convenience store while on vacation. I bought the starter pack, and am on my first evening using it.

First impressions: Taste isn't very close to tobacco, though I'm not sure that these cartridges with the starter kit were supposed to be tobacco-flavored. Otherwise, the overall feel is similar to an analog, but, of course, not exactly the same.

It's the first e-cig that I've tried, so my comparisons are strictly with the analogs...and I guess that I would say that it's not too bad. It will probably take some getting used to.

Congrats on your first e-cig purchase.......

The 51 was also my first. Albeit an expensive one, I considered it worth the overprice for getting me into e-cgs in general.

You'll find as you progress thru the many many purchases you will end up making of different devices (there's just no way around it, lol), that you'll be in a constant search to "replicate" that perfect tobacco taste and feel. We are all still searching for the "perfect" replacement.

If you keep in mind what your NOT inhaling in comparison, and set your attitude to accept this as an "alternative" to analog cigarettes, I think you'll find find a level of satisfaction as you progress.

As an addition, I would like to suggest you look into juice. Refilling your cartridges is much more economical, and there are more varieties of flavor for sampling.

Its a lot easier than it all types out, but I tried to explain it completely and that it does/did work for me.
