vaping 1 month with much difficulty. $350 for the 51 Trio System at the mall kiosk (it included the case ). I have poured over this forum for information re., the Trio and didn't find much on that system specifically, but I found a multitude of important information on every other issue. So, $350 in, a few problems, thought I'd pay back for the awesome info I received from the forum. First the Trio is NOT compatible with any other atomizer. It was explained to me that the unit is a 510 with modifications that prevent us from getting a more cost efficient replacement peice for the unit. Even the atomizer on the 51 website is different, it has a protruding atomizer that can scratch the shaft or melt the material in the cartridge. Smoke 51 is essentially recalling the old systen 51 Trio because they got so many complaints. One being the tiny tiny pinhole on the atomizer making you have to suck so hard the juice splashes into your mouth and the atomizers were melting (both my issues) The new Trio is fabulous! The atomizer has a larger hole to make vaping a much nicer experience. The battery on the old system was unreliable (another of my complaints) Got my fingers crossed on this new system for that. The upside...if you were hooked spontaneously into shelling out big money for the 51 Trio system or the Smoke Free system and you are having problems there is a lifetime guarantee on the batteries and (at least here) there is a 2 year guarantee on the atomizer, so replacements are free. We are 45 minutes away from the mall so it is annoying but at this point more cost effective that trashing the 2 systems we purchased and starting over. Would we purchase this system had I read this forum first??? NO! But we did and now the best we can do is pass on our experience. The new Trio is good for vaping, automatic (if you like that) and the new atomizers are compatible with the old Trio system. The Smoke Free and the Trio are NOT compatible with each other. I can not thank this forum enough for the excellent information and videos. Today was our first experience vaping at a local Johnnie Carinos bar/lounge. The guys comes hustling over to scold us (we are in california) sees the product and then smiles and walks away...YEAH! Thanks again...keep on vaping! Sandi

$350!!?? Whoah! I was tricked into the 51 Trio prior to visiting these forums and it was a free trial, then they tried to charge 100$ to my credit card each month. I stopped that and paid nothing.

I still have the two starter packs (that don't work at all and never did), how would I go about trading them in for this "new" version?

Sorry to hear about your bad luck. I started with a S51 trio that I purchased at a local tobacco shop just to "try it out" and see if e-cigs were for me. I was happy to find out that the trio I purchased was a 510 connector on the battery. That was over 2 months ago and the battery and charger are still working fine with my new 510 setup. So, you will be happy to find (unless they have changed something) that they work with any 510 setup. Just use that battery with that charger, and use the 510 style atties from your next setup. You're only out the atomizer. Too bad on the $$$ tho.

Good luck!

Hello Indiana! At my mall kiosk in Modesto, CA we took the whole thing back with our rreceipt and told them the problems and they took out 2 new systems still in the box and gave them to us. I don't know how it is in IN. I must says I was prepared to fight them on this even if it meant telling potential customers to walk away from the kiosk. Luckily it didn't come to that. We did not get it on line. I would suggest calling them on the phone. I did call them and they seemed nice. Jake at the kiosk said the site honors the lifetime guarantee too. Good luck! Sandi

Thanks for posting that! I had no idea the Trio batteries worked on the 510 attys. I just put it together and it works great. :)
