510 atomizer short circuits batteries when screwed down tight!

Hey everybody...Never had this happen before. When I screw down this particular 510 atomizer on any 510 connection it causes batteries to short circuit and won't fire...if I unscrew it just a little it works fine...if i screw it down tight it won't work at all causing LEDs to flash telling me the battery is going into protected mode. What is causing this? The post on the atty looks fine and I've tried adjusting it up and down and still have the same problem.

Somehow I got it sorted out...no clue how I fixed it but it works now.

It's probably the center contact. Do not tighten the batt and atty too much. Check this thread http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-forum/221412-weird-ego-batteries.html. I forgot which post, but near the end.
