The standard one that came with my eGo. I believe it is 3.7v.
Wow, I was almost certain it was IMPOSSIBLE to blow an atomizer using only 3.7 volts.

I dry burn my atomizers using my 3.7 volt 18650 batteries.
I can hold the button down as long as I want and the coil never gets hotter than orange.

Did you rinse the atomizer out with hot water first?
Is it a low resistance (LR) atomizer?
How do you know you killed it?

I noticed that the atty was not performing as well, so I did the soak and clean method using hot water. After letting it dry overnight, I did the dry burn and noticed that it was not getting fully orange. Figured what the heck and used it anyway. Couple of hours later, nothing. It does not heat up at all. Completely cold. It could have just been on it's way out, and the dry burn helped it cross over to the other side. Rookie here, so my information may be totally out of whack.

When you first start dry burning an atomizer that has been used awhile and has a lot of baked on gunk built up on the coil, it takes quite awhile before you'll see the coil even start to get a little bit orange at one end. Eventually, and as you keep doing dry burns, the orange will start to spread across the coil as the baked on gunk eventually burns off. When the entire coil is glowing orange and no more smoke is coming off, you're done!

If you ever feel like giving a dry burn another shot, check this out...
