510 Attys clogged

I only use 510's and have had this problem as well. Recently I really cleaned them out well. I used a toothpick and paper towel to swab out the extra liquid that was gunked in them. I also used them on my usb passthrough with delivers more voltage based on a thread I saw earlier here. For some reason they are all working fine now. I was so frustrated I wanted to scream but I definitely have seen better results using the passthrough. Someone mentioned the higher voltage also might clean out some gunk/burn it off.

I will be getting the KR8 batteries and adapter next time I make a purchase to go with my 510 atties.

I have this problem a lot. Is there anyone else with this issue? I get a very hard draw off them after a week or so and cleaning seems to help little. I have ordered two kr8 starter kits and cartos to see if it will be the better way for me to go. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Unfortunately I had this problem as well. I started vaping at the end of Aug and bought about 6 or 7 extra atties at the time. the 2 that came with the kit were golden, lasting months without problems, then one after another would be a hard draw in a bout 7-10 days and with all the advice here, nothing helped. Would fiddle with them and then toss them, Started a new batch of atties in Feb and they are working great. I can only assume it's luck of the draw with these things, I chalked it up to a bad batch. I do not expect good QC with these things, just cross my fingers and hope I get past that 2 wk mark. Hope you get a better batch of atties

atomizers, by design, are disposable.
that said, many have had them 'live' for months. in 2 months i've only had one die (resistance rose much too high).
sometimes they seem dead, but a thorough cleaning brings them back.

here's my method (i only go to step 3 if the first two don't work)
blow out
dry burn (10-15 seconds)
rinse with everclear
burn with everclear
dry burn
bathe in everclear
dry out
use

I wonder if running htem hot helps?
I use a PT almost exclusively now, I work at home and love my PC so it made sense to get one - I actually have 2, one is the inline battery(3.7v) one is no inline battery (5v).
Mine don't clog. The atty itself gets hotter than..well..that hot place from legend! lol And they don't clog. I get most of my attys off cignot but i have a few from other vendors also. All Joye btw.
Do you use mostly manual batts? I know mine dont get nearly so hot as my PT does. Or maybe anyone with a true 3.7v mod/5v mod could chime in and see if I'm just lucky louise or out of my mind? Or if its just as pmd says - bad batch luck of draw deal?

I agree that running them hotter does help keep them from gunking up. The stock batteries do not run at the full 3.7V that the atomizers were designed for. So running an atty at a true 3.7V or higher will help with this. With the stock batteries before I got my Bartleby, I would always leave the ecig with the battery end facing up over night. I think this helped as I never had any problems with clogging.

    Somewhere between here and there
Saatec did an experiment and found that using crest pro health did a really good job cleaning out attys. You soak them for about fifteen minutes and agitate a little. Then rinse with hot water and let them dry for several hours. I was able to get a couple attys to work that I thought were goners using this. I was going to post a link to that thread but couldn't find it.
