Hello, hello. Recently 2 510 manuals died on me, and another is currently sitting in my friend's pocket (I wonder if he even knows yet?)... So. Today was one of those I'm-tired-and-extreme-chain-vaping kind of days  :vapor: ... Usually my 510 manuals last me quite a while but all of my batts died, except for the standard I'm using now. So I decided why the heck not? and fired up my attys with a 510 auto batt that typocinnamongrl sent me. Thank you, typo, by the way :) These did come in handy!

...well those are nice and dead and my standards are up and charged up... and I want to charge the autos. Well, when I slapped one in my 510 PCC, the blue LED light lit up inside the charger and did NOT shut off at all. The batt gave me the light flicker of death, so I know it's dead. I tried the a/c wall charger, but the LED lit up again.

...um, is this supposed to happen or do I need a whole different charger? I reaaaally hope this is normal because these are a good backup, but I'd rather just buy more manuals than a charger for two autos that I use in dire need.

I'm no expert on these, but some things to check are:
1) clean the contacts on the batteries AND the charger
2) check to see if the battery is making proper contact with the charger. Sometimes, the center post gets pushed down and doesn't make contact with the charger anymore. You can *carefully* pry it up a *tiny* bit with tweezers or even a toothpick.

I'm assuming all the batteries you're discussing are regular 510 connections, yes?

ETA: It's also possible you've gotten juice inside the autos. They have a hole in the end for the air sensor/switch. Sometimes juice can get in there and muck everything up.

Oye! They're such a pain I might not even bother. I just posted up a thread that I'm changing up my gear (finally) because I'm just done with 510 carts...

I hear ya! :) Personally, I just can't use carts, to me they're messy, and time consuming. In any case, I hope you find something that works well for your particular needs. Just based on *my* experience, I think you made a good decision :)

:) I just put up a thread called "Times Are A'Changin" and I'm taking a baby step up to an eGo and trying out some 2.0ohm cartos. Wish me luck!!
