I have just started using e-cigs and have switched from analogs completely about 4 days ago. I got a 510 in last week and it works great - with one exception. I have one of the two batteries that I can vape only a hit or two and then the light at the end flashes ten times quickly. Is it a dead/bad battery? I charged it as it said in the manual. This is also after charging it for 10+ hours and having a green light on the charger. Please help as the one battery is not quite long enough to keep me in vapes for a while. Also, is there a way to get a harder hit of nicotine on the first vape in the morning? Is the solution just to get a higher strength as I am using 36mg strength. I am having trouble sticking with it there in the morning with my coffee.

I'd say that is one broken battery you have there; check with your vendor to have it replaced. Those 10 blinks usually mean the battery is empty, but obviously, it should last a little bit longer than one or two hits.

Also, there is higher strenght liquid, but I'd think twice - 36mg is already quite high. It will take a few days until you are settled with your PV, know how to vape it to get the most out of it and all that. And if, for a few days or even weeks, you need an analog now and then, happens to very many people. Not even half manage to quit the day their PV arrives.

You might also want to check the eGo - two batteries, even if they work, is not much, either; and if you have to buy anyway, you might as well get batteries that last a lot longer than standard 510 batteries. As the eGo is a 510, just with a bigger battery and that neat cone, you can still use what you have already.

When you put the battery back on the charger, does the light turn red indicating that it is charging? Is the other battery charging correctly? Whether it's the battery or the charger, I would definitely seek a warranty replacement.

As for the first hit of the morning, I agree with Alex that going to even higher nic content may not be the best solution. The first one of the morning was the worst for me, too. Compared to all the other smoking cessation gimmicks I tried, getting through it with the PV was relatively painless. Give it a little more time.

I did not read the other replies so sorry if this is a repeat. Sounds like you batt is YUCKY if you have only had a few days contact the company you got it from. Sorry to hear you had problem with your Batts so soon into your new vaping life. I love my 510's i get them from cignot.com they just always work so i keep going back.

For the morning vape I tend to go with a new fresh filled cart and fresh charge batt, I vape high nic 36 in the morning and I vape VG, not alot Th there but enough vapor to make me happy, now if i need a BIG kick in the morning i add TV's atomic cinnacide and that gets me going....LOL

Thanks for all the input. I was worried it was a bad battery but thought I would check before sending a msg to the seller and make sure it wasn't me. I get a red light when I plug it in (like right now) and it goes green and I got exactly one hit this eve. The other battery is great although I am real careful to keep it charged right now.

As for the morning I think I will stick with it and keep at it for a while. I also ordered some new liquids from Viking Vapor in unfiltered and also some from Totally Wicked so we will see if that helps. I just have two liquids right now and it seems that everyone says that is a huge factor in TH. I guess after years of Marl Lights & reds is hard to find a hit that is quite that hard - lol. Thanks again!

The batt should flash a few times when it is first put on the charger. If it doesn't that means it isn't taking a charge. Check to make sure the threaded terminal is very clean. Also try pressing the batt button a few times and see if it lights up, then try the charging again. If these don't do it, the battery is bad. I've had this same problem when there was a drop of juice on the terminal. You might also make sure the charger terminal is clean of juice. Tends to get everywhere, and it can stop connections.
