510 Blues

I received my 510 kit that I won about a week ago. I've been alternating between the 401 and 510 for the past week. The 510 has been disappointing, but it has also revealed to me some weaknesses in the 401.

The 510 produces prodigious amounts of vapor compared to the 401. The downside is that it lacks the flavor delivery of the 401. The carts hold an insane amount of liquid, but without doing the auto-drip mod on them I found that most of the liquid would get stuck at the mouth end and all of the shaking in the world wouldn't get it down to the atty end.

The draw is easier on the 510. I've found myself making juices tailor made for the pitiful flavor delivery that the 510 delivers. I like my 401 still, especially for at work, but I find myself dripping with the 510 at home more often than using the 401.

All in all, the 510 and the vaping get-together have made me disappointed in both of my kits. I'm sick of constantly swapping batts from use to charger. I'm frustrated and fed up with this amateur vaping crap. I'd like some throat hit every now and again. I'd like batts that don't up and die for no discernible reason, never to work again. After trying out the Prodigy I've decided that high voltage is the way to go. I'll be ordering my Chuck on Friday.

Welcome to the life of the big mods, Lyndale.....you won't be sorry for going with some power.

The cigarette-clone PV models DO have their place....for those starting out.... they're a good intro, a good learners model. Vaping at power does have some learning curves attached to it, but the learning will go easier now that you've grown accustomed to the smaller units.

I know how you feel. I ordered my Chuck on Nov. 19th now I just have to wait. (man is that hard). Still thinking about getting the Prodigy. I just wish I had more money or that it was not the time of the year when I have to consider others before myself jk.

I was hard pressed not to abscond with Vicks Prodigy the night of the meet and vape.

I haven't tried a high voltage device yet, but I've been busy trying to make my 510 better.

I've found that the cart filler has a lot to do with the taste. I use nhaler's High Voltage liquid, which has a lot of flavor. I've come up with an easy cart mod that may help, while you're waiting for your Chuck. Argh... I'm going to have to order more 401 and 510 crap to hold me over until the Chuck arrives. I'm going to get some of that blue aquarium foam and try some various mods to get the most out of my existing equipment. Need more batts, chargers and atomizers for upcoming trips out of state.

I wonder if TSA would flip out over a Chuck in luggage. They do look... suspect.

My Bartleby arrived a few days ago. Quite a nice little unit. About the size of a JS with a much larger battery (14500 800mah) and the same USB charging connection except it's on the bottom so the cord doesn't get in the way when using it as a PT.

I guess I like variety. I love my box mods with my 510 attys at home. My 401s when I am out and about (love their size, great vapor). My 901s on my PS PT in the car. And my protege with my 901, 510 and 401 adapters. Just depends on my mood.
First thing in the morning I can only manage to grab a 510 battery and screw it on an atty and dump in some 30 mg.

The ordering of the Chuck got delayed due to monetary issues (I've got more than enough for it, but I want to make sure Christmas presents for the family are covered before I spend on me.) I did get a 401 passthrough and replaced BOTH of my broken 401 chargers, though. Hopefully the Chuck will get ordered this weekend.
