I have searched this and have not read a thread that exactly sums up what i need to know. I am currently vaping on a eGo-t with a smokteck dual coil cartomizer. I have no problems with it and I love every drag. However my wife just bought a joyetech 510 mega batt and a new 510 dual coil carto. I got it home and filled it for the first time and then topped it off. Every time I try to use it I take a nice long smooth drag and I get a burnt after taste. Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong or am I just trying to get to long of a drag??? Thanks in advance Josh

If your going to take long drags on it you'll need to slice, punch or drill the Cartomizer. The hole is too small for the amount of drag your taking. Video floating around on how to do it.

Interesting. I have the same problem and DO take long draws. I'd about given up on using cartos with filler at all. I may be able to salvage the ones i have this way.

I do understand the punching of a cardo, I just ordered the minisub from mom and pop vapor shop. I hope I like the tank experience. However The question in hand is for my wifes 510 battery and her 510 dual coil cardo. She likes the slim size and does not want the bulk of a tank. When I take a drag from her set up I get a burnt flavor even when it freshly filled up. I dont know what i'm doing wrong if anything.

I have had the same symtom using a dual coil carto on an ego batt. I think its just too much heat and not wicking real well. I stopped using it and tossed it. It seems to me that it is better suited in a tank. If you've seen the pics of one, and look at those tiny coils, I can just imagine how they would drain the juice rather quickly. And if the juce is of a thicker variety, it complicates that further. How about a good atty? Dripping is very pleasurable. Try a Cisco 1.5. I enjoy atty's over carto's for the crisp taste. But that is just me.

Now let me get this right. Your wife is using a DCC on a little 510 battery? If so, plan on ordering her a new battery in the morning.

Now for the burnt taste. Sorry to say it but the carto was not wet enough at the coils, and you have scorched the filler. Once they are burnt they are burnt, and the only thing to do with it is put it in the round file.
