:toast: that's great.

Some other possible reasons for "burnt".
The wick may be cut where it exits on the metal or it may be restricted from the silicone cap.
Washing in hot water prior to first use does seem to help juice flow.
sometimes adding a "flavor wick" helps.

When I have a problem with "stock" wicks - I cut one end flush with the coil, gently pull it out from the other end. Dry-burn the coil, then rinse and needle-thread some Aunt Lydia's no. 10 bamboo thread though (boil first and let dry) and enjoy with a better flavor.

this is my first post but am curious, if you but your attys from certain websites (not sure if we are able to name exact sites on this forum), make sure you are buying AUTHENTIC kangertech coils. The knock offs have issues There are many reports of the knock offs being covered in oil and people having to boil them in water before using them.. that's my 2 cents.

I also was wondering if anyone is aware of a good way to clean the new kangertech dual coils? I know the chimney is almost impossible to take off unless u hit it with a hammer lol. I'm trying to save money on BDC kangertech attys (third generation style). Thanks!

There's a good video on youtube, search the name "dry burning kanger dual coils - new method!

Hmmm, looking at the vapor power chart, it looks like with that coil, you'll have to use 3v or less. I'm still new so may be in error.

Thanks for the reply but it suggests 12w-25w on the OCC coil which would be 3.8 -5.4w. This is just at 12-14w it is popping. We also put it on her Aspire VV+ first though at 3.8v which should be well under her draw on the batterywhich is 3.5A according to Aspire. That would be met at 4.2v which we didn't go near.

The coils in using are defenitly kanger. I got them from two different places. I think from what I have tested they need to be cleaned right out of the package and then you need to prime them with a few drops on the wicks down the chimney. It's just weird to me how the first coil I used on my vaporfi rocket at 4.2 volts on with a 1.8 coil I had no issues with them. They lasted about two weeks. I'm sure they should have lasted longer but they worked right out of the package with no prep work. I guess it's just luck of the draw.

i got my mini last saturday, used the stock 0.5 ohm coil and last for 3 days, i clean it with running hot water for 15 mnt, left it for a day to dry.

now i just getting dry hits from it so i start using the rba, but the condensation just too much, rebuild it with 26 come out 1 ohm, using the pancake method for wicking, still the main problem is the condensation on the base of the drip tip... and spits, less spit when i'm using higher vg but the condensation still there.

will try to rebuild the stock coil as soon i get my torch, i don't want to risk a hot leg on the occ, but i'm not sure if torching will make a difference.

My wife and I just got our Subtank Minis and her 1.2 ohm coil is popping constantly. Any suggestions?

What I've noticed about the Subtank Mini is that if you run it at too low of a power, it pops. Try increasing the power so you begin to hear the "sizzle". The popping goes away. When I was using my iStick 50 in VW mode, and I tried running the Subtank Mini at 9 watts, it popped constantly. Once I increased it to run at 15 watts or higher, the popping disappeared.

Awesome thanks. I changed her juice to an 80/20 VG/PG and burned it higher for a little bit and the popping ceased.
