Hello, All. So I've been off analogs for almost two months and have been using cartomizers for about one. I use the Boge brand I am pretty sure from all the research I have done and have ordered cartos from overseas and here in the US... I use an Ego and Riva usually, and stock 510 batteries when I'm stuck. Also a hv passthrough at home. My problem is it seems after filling a cartomizer the first time, I can never get back the vapor, throat hit, flavor, etc. again... I would say the performance drops at least 50% with each fill. I have tried cleaning after a few fills by boiling, topping off every 20 drags or so, vaping it until almost dry before refilling, etc. I don't really see anyone else saying this happens. I clean connections constantly, etc. Flavors have a little to do with this I know (my 24 mg. Geoff's blend with cinnamon, which I love, seems a little better than spearmint/tobacco 24mg or vanilla espresso) but overall a cartomizer lasts one fill before being dissatisfied... I also usually fill through the battery end- 5 drops at a time, slowly though I have tried the condom method (a little messier and less convenient in my opinion) Any ideas or should I just resign myself to going through one or two per day? Thanks a lot for your help- I've been looking for answers on this for a few days and haven't had much luck.

I'd advise you to top them off well before they're empty as a starting point. Perhaps you're running them dry.

Also, are you actually cleaning them between each refill? If so, I'd stop that as well. Use them, top off often, and after a number of full refills consider cleaning them if you're up to it. Otherwise, chuck them.

FWIW, I use Boge 510 cartos at 5 volts and get about 2 days of solid use out of each before I ditch them. They run pretty much at optimum performance for the 2 day span.

Thanks much for the reply... I have considered going to 5v but the stand 3 or so seems to work well on a new carto and fresh battery...
I have tried topping off often and they still seem to decline so quickly.. I can definitely tell when they are getting dry.. a few times I would wait until the flavor dropped then refill but both ways, same thing. I definitely don't clean between each refill.. I used to clean between 4 or 5 but then the performance still really sucks when they dry completely... I think I may be very picky about throat hit... So quickly it feels almost like air though I get vapor... I have been doing 10 per cent VG.. I love the spearmint tobacco I mixed but maybe the spearmint adds to the issue...
Everyone think all Boge's are pretty much the same? I got the recent ones overseas cheaply but they seem almost the same as the ones in the US that were twice as much (trying not to divulge supplier)..

I believe you may be right about the drop off, MisterCombo, attys of any type do seem to lose their aggressivness after using a couple days, and don't ever go back even after cleaning. I think also it takes more time when refilling to get the original amount of juice back in. Prefilled carts always seem to last longer than refilled. And, the wicking does get sluggish as well, juices left over in them seem to thicken from heat.
That's why you need lots on hand, be ready for failures.
