When I was cleaning cartos I'd boil then 15 mins. I found the better way was to spend $2.00 on an Oral Med Syringe from Walmart. The cone that comes with it fits perfectly over the carto. I would then suck in hot water with the syringe and expell it. After about 20 times I would use the syringe to force air thru the carto- about 40 times and carto would be ready for immediate use. To clean the carto coil I'd use a hairpin VERY carefully- was amazing amount of gunk that came out. The syringe has 10 ml markings and can also be used for DIY juice but the numbers must be nail polish clear coated. The syringe cleaning method there's a YouTube vid but on my IPhone. Will post it on Tues. when back in city on pc.

Funny. I was completely unaware of bogegate as a social/business/manufacturing/international phenomenon. I've not gotten the burn-taste unless I use a blank carto with no liquid in it (yes, genius). I can tell you that at least twice I've gotten threads that were crooked enough that the thing didn't fit into the battery.

Vodka .... certainly an edible solvent. Now I'm going to have to see what other weird edible solvents might be around .... Vinegar, anyone?

I never clean cartos. I just refill them and toss them in the recycle bin when they quit. They are cheap enough - a lot cheaper than a pack of smokes. I love cartos because of the portability and flavor. To me, they are the next best thing to dripping. I don't carry juice bottles around. I just have a few cartos (5 or 6) ready to go every day, whether prefilled or refilled - capped on both ends.

Lots of Syringes out there, not a lot with cone attachments like described. Catheter kit? LOL.

There are too many options out there where cartomizers are minimized if even used anymore.

I would argue this, mainly because some people prefer cartos, much like myself...and I know the ''big two'' celebrity vapers (grim and pbusardo) have stated previously how they prefer them...personally for me I don't like clearos much at all because of the dry hit factor...if you don't tip them enough then you get a blast of scratchy, foul tasting vapor...I never get this with a carto, especially a carto tank where I can see how much juice I have in the reservoir...on the other hand you can get a dry hit on a clearo, even with a full tank...I've experienced this on every single clearo I've tried, from the Vivi Nova to the stardust and even the new raptor...I simply see superior performance consistently from cartos.

And if you guys want to know, no, I'm NOT a boge guy anymore because of the recent troubles...I use either the mega ego dual coils from vaping zone (not the smoke tech ones),or the 801 fusions from ikenvape, or for regular 510 get the ikenvape diamonds...trying any of those would probably change your perspective.
